Erica can host

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
No females in heat
Takes only 1 client at a time

Availability

I am generally pretty flexible with drop-off and pick-up hours because I work from home full-time. Usually the dogs I watch will hang out with me in my open living room, but they are free to wander in the whole apartment. Your dog will get plenty of love, scratches, and playtime from me and my partner. I'm also totally happy working with a pupper on my lap. We'll also go on a longer walk to Fort Greene and a couple shorter walks around the neighborhood throughout the day.

A DAY IN THE LIFE Depending on what your dog needs, our day together can include: * Walks in Fort Greene * Walks down the quiet tree lined streets of Boerum Hill * Hanging out on my couch after work or at my desk during my meetings * If your dog is more high energy, we can play fetch. If your dog is more low energy, we can just relax in the sun. I’ll provide pictures and text updates for my clients, so that they never have to wonder how their dogs are doing. I respond promptly to any inquiries or requests. And I will love your dog like my own.

Information Erica C. would like to know about your pet

I want to know how I can best take care of your dog during their stay! Let me know the nitty gritty so I can fully understand your dog and their wants & needs :) 1. What are their favorite toys, activities, and treats? 2. Do they like playing with other dogs or do they like people more? 3. Are they recall trained? What has your dog learned training wise? 4. What’s their eating and sleeping schedule like? What are their eating habits? Do they have any dietary restrictions or allergies? 5. Do they have any triggers, dislikes, or fears? 6. Are they food and/or ball aggressive? 7. Can they be left alone? And for how long? 8. And do they have anxiety from being away from their person and/or sitters?

A typical day

We love to walk to Fort Greene! If your dog likes cuddles and laps, they're in for a treat, since we love that too. Lots of playtime breaks in between in the apartment or in the apartment dog park. On weekends, we might go further out to Prospect Park or Brooklyn Bridge Park. If your dog is more high energy, we can play fetch or frisbee. If your dog is more low energy, we can just relax in the sun. Either way, they'll get lots of cuddles, scratches, and love all day long.

Pet care experience

When your dog stays with me, they’ll find a loving, fun, patient, and caring home. ABOUT ME I love dogs, but don't have one myself because I travel often. After dogsitting for my boss and friends, I started Rovering in 2017 because spending time with dogs just made me so happy. It's been amazing being able to do that while also taking care of my neighbors’ dogs and getting to know so many different personalities!

We were in a pinch on NYE and Erica took our mini husky Elle for the eve while we went out. Erica is a natural, our dog has separation anxiety from us but Erica imprinted on her and they were basically inseparable the whole night. Erica also made me feel comfortable by asking thoughtful questions during our meet and greet. She sent pictures of Elle all evening. I would highly recommend her.

My dog had a terrific extended stay with Erica. She was patient and sweet allowing him to grow his confidence and eventually feel a comfortable. A long stay can be stressful but Erica’s great communication put my mind at ease. I appreciated all the updates with pictures and videos!

Erica was very kind and patient with my special little guy. He can be very shy and anxious so he needs a calming presence. Erica was also a fantastic communicator sharing pictures and updates throughout the day. Would highly recommend!
