I will cater my services to your pets needs ensuring they are getting the most while you are away. I understand that every pet is different and will have specific needs. Whether that be actively playing or walking your energetic dog until they are tuckered out for the evening or ensuring your senior dog is able to enjoy his walk at a slow leisure pace and hang out with them for however long is needed to make sure they aren't lonely. I read instructions carefully to make sure pill doses are correctly given at the times needed, enclosures are properly lit and cleaned, and food is given correctly. I am open to pets that have specific needs.

If an animal has any sort of medication or special food instructions it's important for me to know along with any sort of physical limitations or medical conditions. If a dog is afraid or has a hard time with other people or dogs on walks, please let me know so I can plan a route to keep a good distance.
A typical day
With my dog growing up and other dogs I've cared for daily walks around the neighborhood are good part of the routine. I also love giving them a chance to play fetch, tug-o-war or any typical games the dog may enjoy to keep them happy and stimulated. If there is a yard, a good run around with the zoomies is also enjoyable and a great way to release their energy. With any pet I try to match the energy given to make them comfortable. For example sometimes a shy cat may not like to play but enjoys an active presence while they eat or sun bask.

Pet care experience
I've worked with a variety of dogs, cats and exotic animals since I was a teenager. From walking and caring for Pittbulls, Labradors to teacup dogs. I've also cared for my own German Shepard from childhood. I currently care for an elderly kitty and do my best to minimize his hip pain and care for his ear irriation with vet recommendation ear drops.

Emma has pet sit my dog over a dozen times now and she is the first person I go to when I'll be out of town. I have a 60lb pitbull who is sweet, but very reactive towards strangers and other dogs, which happens often as I live in an apartment building. Because of this, walking her is very involved from her harness/muzzle/short leash to how hard she pulls when she is reactive. Emma has never had a problem rerouting and is very attentive to my dogs body language cues to keep everyone involved safe. She readily uses tips and commands I give her which helps further my dogs training even when I am not around. She makes sure my dog is fed properly, with the stimulation of a snuffle mat and puzzle toys on top of it. On the occasion my dog has needed a medicine or ointment applied, Emma makes sure its taken care of. I usually leave her my set of keys to enter my apartment and she makes sure I get them back in a timely manner. I have never come back home to a mess from the dog after Emma takes care of her. 10/10 would recommend as a responsible and caring pet sitter.
