Availability
I am currently a full-time student, but it will not interfere with my availability as a pet sitter or dog walker for the most part. I have most of my early mornings, afternoons and evenings free. Additionally, my weekends are free.

Safety, trust & environment
In the case that I am asked to petsit a dog at someone else’s home, I will ensure that both the dog and the house have my most undivided attention. It takes a lot of trust to let someone you hardly know take care of your animal in your own home, so I will never be someone who takes advantage of that. I understand that a dog may be anxious after its owner leaves so I also be sure to take that into serious consideration. I treat any dog as if it were my own, with the most attention and love I can give it.
Information Emma M. would like to know about your pet
As someone in the vet field, I prioritize the health of the dog first. Because of this, it is extremely important to know the medical history of any dog I work with. For example, is the dog allergic to anything? Is the dog susceptible to seizures? Does the dog have a history of chronic health issues? Knowing the dog’s medical history is essential in order to create the best experience for both parties. Additionally, I think it is essential to know if your pet experiences any anxiety or aggression. Knowing if your pet experiences any separation anxiety is super important to the outcome of the visit, and I would love to know so I can do my best to accommodate!
A typical day
Typically, I like to incorporate activities that are specific to the dog’s activity levels. A very active dog will require more physical activity, such as playing fetch or going for a run. However, a dog that would prefer just lounging on the couch with you would find going on a run to be its worst nightmare. In that case, activities could include practicing trick training or doing a low maintenance activity, such as a light stroll around the block. In any case, I love going on walks at Annenburg trail, a 1.5 mile loop around the park, as it provides both the dog and me exercise!

Reliable vet student!
Pet care experience
I have extensive experience with caring for small animals, between working as a vet assistant, volunteering at shelters, dog sitting and house sitting gigs, fostering shelter animals, and even taking care of my own pets at home. Furthermore, I am a vet student, so I have specific education pertaining to animal health and wellness. I am confident in my abilities as a dog sitter or dog walker because of the tools and skills I have learned throughout my life, and I have several references that can attest to that.

Reviews

Emma is always flexible, kind, and thoughtful when she comes to take care of my two cats. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. She was in communication with me for any issues and I can tell she really cares about animals!

Emma is great! I book with her every time I go out of town. I always get a little anxious leaving my pets for an extended period, but when Emma watches them I rest a little easier knowing they are in good hands. 💕

Emma was very attentive and communicative, would definitely love for her to watch our pets again
