Pet care experience

Vet xperienced,

I’ve spent the past 10 years working in veterinary medicine, including 4 years in emergency and critical care. My career has given me extensive hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs with a variety of needs, personalities, and medical conditions. I’m passionate about animals and truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, medication administration, and monitoring for changes in behavior or health. My veterinary background also allows me to recognize when something may not be quite right and respond appropriately.

I cannot recommend Emery highly enough. I have worked in veterinary medicine for over 14 years, and in all that time, I can count on one hand the number of people I completely trust with the care of my own pets. Emery is without question one of those people. Emery has been in veterinary medicine since she was 15 years old, and although her current title is Certified Veterinary Assistant, her knowledge, clinical judgment, and ability far exceed what that title suggests. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician myself, I can confidently say there are plenty of situations where Emery is someone I trust, learn from, and would want beside me when it matters most. She is incredibly knowledgeable, observant, dependable, and has a natural instinct for animal care that simply cannot be taught. What I appreciate most about Emery is that she is both compassionate and logical. She genuinely loves animals and treats every patient as an individual, but she also has the experience and level-headedness to recognize when something isn't right and make good decisions under pressure. Working alongside her in emergency veterinary medicine, I have watched her care for animals during some of their most vulnerable and critical moments while still providing patience, reassurance, and kindness to their families. She is also a trusted leader on our team and serves as a Shift Lead, which speaks to her reliability, communication, and ability to care for both people and animals—even in a fast-paced emergency environment. There are very few people I would hand my pets over to without worrying, questioning, or giving a million instructions first. With Emery, I wouldn't hesitate. I know they would be safe, loved, closely watched, and cared for by someone whose judgment I genuinely trust. Coming from someone who has spent 14+ years in veterinary medicine and is admittedly extremely selective about who cares for my animals, that is probably the strongest recommendation I can give. Any pet parent would be incredibly lucky to have Emery caring for their animal!

I highly recommend Emery for any pet sitting position! As a veterinary assistant, she is incredibly knowledgeable, medically skilled, and attentive to the needs of animals in her care. Beyond her clinical abilities, Emery has a genuine love for all animals and is one of the most compassionate people I know. I would absolutely trust her to care for my own pets and feel confident that they would be safe, loved, and exceptionally well cared for. Any pet owner would be lucky to have Emery looking after their animals!

Emery is incredible with pets. She’s taken care of all the pets in my family including my lab (since he was 6months) who’s now 9 years old. She works for an emergency vet so she’s extremely knowledgeable, experienced and kind with animals. Truly treats them like family and there’s not a person I trust more with my pets! She continues to further her education in the vet industry and maintains a great connection with Veterinary clinics across the state. 1000/1000 recommend her.

Schedule

My work schedule allows me to have a flexible and consistent schedule for pet sitting. I work three 12-hour shifts from Sunday through Tuesday, which means I’m off Wednesday through Saturday every week. Having four consecutive days off gives me plenty of availability to dedicate time and attention to your pets. I’m able to schedule drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays during my days off, and I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s needs.
