Safety & What to Expect Your dog’s safety and comfort come first, always. Here’s what you can count on: • Meet & greet first — Before our first walk, I like to meet you and your dog so they can get comfortable with me on their own turf, and so we can go over any specific needs, routines, or triggers. • Secure handling — I double-check leashes, collars, and harnesses before heading out, and I’m attentive to gates, doors, and busy streets. • Reading your dog — With experience handling behaviorally challenging dogs, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals, and I’ll adjust the pace, route, or approach if your dog needs it. • No dog-park surprises — I won’t introduce your dog to unfamiliar dogs or people without your OK. • Updates you can trust — You’ll get a photo or video from the walk, plus a quick note on how it went (bathroom breaks, energy level, anything worth mentioning). • Emergency plan — I’ll ask for your vet’s info and any emergency contacts up front, and I know how to stay calm and act quickly if something unexpected comes up. • Respect for your home — If I’m entering your home to grab your dog, I’ll treat it like my own — doors locked, alarm set, nothing out of place. Communication is a big part of how I work — if anything comes up during a walk, you’ll hear from me right away, not after the fact.
