Home all day for your doggies!
I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. Working from home in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, I’m available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and checkins. There’s no private yard, but there’s a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for some outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience and can care for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I have been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home constantly and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet!

An amazing second stay with Elsa and Nick! Enzo was living his best life (again) and truly didn’t want to leave when my husband picked him up. Thank you, team! Also - a quick note that Enzo’s behavior with strangers actually improved after his first stay with Elsa and Nick in April. He was much less anxious with new people at our house; an amazing byproduct of their wonderful care!
I am so glad we booked with Elsa- she was everything I was hoping for and more! She was so kind and thoughtful about how she took care of our dog and sent updates/pictures to keep my mind at ease. She even trained a few new behaviors for our dog! I will definitely be booking with Elsa again next time we need a sitter!
My companion doggie had a great time with Elsa and her husband -I got daily pics and some videos of my happy dog .I would highly recommend Elsa and hope to use her again in the future !
Elsa and Nick are so kind and caring. I felt very confident that Jasper was being well-cared for and doted on while he was with them. I had a flight hiccup and Elsa spent a lot of time communicating with me to figure out a good solution. She's so patient and kind. I highly recommend!
We are so thankful for Elsa and would highly recommend her! She watched our dog Benji for the first time as we left for a trip, but we had a stressful situation two days before dropping him off. Benji got sick and had new medication as well as an unpredictable stomach. We almost had to change our travel plans last minute but she insisted on helping us! We are so glad she did and Benji loved staying with her. Luckily he got way better while we were gone and all was good. Elsa followed all his new medication instructions without a problem and was very good at communicating with us on his recovery which we appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience and look forward to booking with Elsa again!
Alvin iss normally my shadow, however when picking him up he was snuggled up Elsa he didn’t give me a second look. He loves staying with you both, and I’m thrilled because I get to see him blossom in your care.

Schedule
I work from home most days, so I’m available all day for the pups, extra potty breaks, daytime and evening walks, play, and companionship. Once every two weeks, I may be out for a few hours at the office. I’ll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled. On Saturdays, I’m less flexible for check-in and check-out due to volunteer work (away for half the day).

I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).
A typical day
A day here is relaxed and calm, mostly indoors with plenty of lowkey fun. Your dog can roam freely, following me around the condo as I work from home, lots of quiet company, gentle play (tug, fetch with soft toys, or just chasing a ball), and tons of cuddles on the couch or dog beds. On a nice day, we’ll have some short outdoor walks in the neighborhood (daytime and evening), plus quick potty breaks downstairs in the shared green spaces whenever needed. Everything stays low energy and stress-free, no rushed schedule, just a peaceful routine tailored to your dog’s pace.
