My background is in training service dogs in training both as a foster for 5 years (some of my fosters are in the pictures on my profile) and working as a dog behaviorist at the nonprofit agency, 4 Paws for Ability, for a year. I was in charge of "support cases" for behavioral concerns that could influence a puppy becoming a service dog and many of my case dogs became fabulous flunkies as we figured out they didn't like working! I feel very comfortable navigating behavioral support (like jumping, certain types of reactivity, barking, pulling, stopping on walks, etc.). My goal is to set your pet up for success with clear communication if there are certain triggers or environments they would not enjoy while on walks to get the enrichment, care, and exercise they need. I've been housesitting/pet sitting since I was a kid and have been so lucky to love on dozens of cats and dogs over the years through references, Rover, and Trusted Housesitters. I'm comfortable administering medication, navigating elderly animals, dogs working on potty training, young animals and everything in between. Sometimes I'd even help the vets administer vaccines at the agency!
