Pet care experience
Growing up my family bred pedigree German Shepherds, so I learned how to train a dog early on. Since then I've cared for shelter dogs, rescue dogs and purebred dogs of all sizes both my own pets (including: Poodles, Shepherds, a wolf/shepherd hybrid and a Pit Bull mix, a Terrier mix and Newfoundland over the course of 40 years). I worked at the local Animal Shelter for three years, and gained skills in training, reading body cues, medical treatments, and puppy care. I have house and dog sat on and off all my adult life with no problems. I love cats and rodents too, so if you have more than dogs in your home, I'm happy to help with them as well! I've got you covered!

I have known Dylan for 10+ years - and if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that she loves animals. She will gladly tell you about her beloved Moo - a small giant of a Newfie that Dylan lovingly brought to Pet Day at Newberry when my daughter was a kindergartner (Moo's tail may have taken out a small contingent of kinder kids as she wagged it with glee, but the giggling was worth it). Dylan dog sat for our sweet (but not very smart) dog more than once, and she kept our cats for us for 4 weeks when we were in between homes. Dylan is responsible, caring, and kind with both people and animals. She has 'dog-sense', and does a great job understanding what's going on with animals and how to reduce their stress. 13/10. Would definitely recommend.
Dylan took amazing care of my two dogs! They got lots of walks, play time, and snuggles while I was gone. Dylan was great about communicating before and during my trip, and I felt very comfortable in the knowledge that my dogs would be in great hands while I was traveling.

A typical day
If you and your dog are amenable, I'd love to take your dog to the dog park. I'm new to Missoula, so I'm still learning where all the great places to go are, so if your pet has a favorite spot, let me know and I'll be happy to take them there if we can get there and back in 30 minutes (if you want an hour, please book two walks!) Otherwise, I'm happy to have a lively jaunt around your neighborhood! For drop-in visits, I will play with your pets and provide happy and eager company while you are away. I have my own pooches to care for and my job, so weekends and evenings are best - the calendar doesn't let me specify much, but I can help out most evenings. Just not in the mornings on weekends except Wednesdays are my day off, and Friday afternoon I'm off early from my regular job.
