I have owned 4 huskies - one from puppy-hood, the other 3 were adopted. The first one was from puppy to 15 yrs,the other was rescued at age 3 and passed at 13. My other two were adopted at 5 yr and passed at 13 yrs of age. I love playing and cuddling with them. I've had to give all kinds of meds to all the dogs. I work from home now so I'm available Monday- Sunday. I have a tendency to spoil dogs, within reason. I have been with the same vet for over 20 years. I'm what they call a dog person. They all take to me. If your dog loves to run I have a large completely fenced in yard for them to enjoy. I don't mind the dog hair since I'm usually covered with Husky hair. Your dog will not have to worry about being lonely when I'm around. Currently I work with a rescue group and foster on an as needed basis. I was inactive with Rover for a few years because I had moved from NY to FL. I was also fostering adoptable huskies. Now I have returned to home boarding with Rover. I've handled all sizes, Chihuahua to Great Pyrenees. No dog is too small or too large.

Doreen is amazing! We have two Huskies (One is 4 years old and the other one 1 Year old) that have never been separated from us and we were afraid of separation anxiety issues or any weird behavior after not seeing us. We communicated this to Doreen from the beginning and she was very confident to tell us that she would know how to handle. And indeed, she got to earn their trust very quickly (specially for the puppy one) and by the time we came back to pick them we felt they were very relaxed and could feel the attention they got was extremely nice. She was all the time sending us updates and pictures and we were very confident all the time that they were in a good place. I really like the way Doreen was with them and for sure I will repeat booking with her to continue building this relationship trust between them and her. Thanks Doreen!
Doreen was amazing with our two small senior pups, AND helped us with a very unique request! I reached out to Doreen, looking for someone who would be willing to take care of our girls during mine and my now husband's wedding day. Not only were we looking for someone who would take care of our pups for the day/overnight, but also would be willing to bring them to our venue so we could take pictures with them after our ceremony (this ended up being about a 30+ min drive for her each way). Not only was Doreen willing to do this for us, but was also so accommodating and understanding with our unique scheduling - a lot of which we weren't able to finalize details of until a few days before. We were also unable to meet in person before dropping the pups off with her because we traveled into NY from out of town. Every step of the way, we felt like our pups were in good hands because of how communicative and prepared Doreen was - she sent me a form to fill out with all of the instructions and info on our girls, so she could have that info before we even got there. Our pups are 11 and 13 years old, with specialized diets, take oral medication, and one of them is very anxious. They took to her very quickly, and seemed very happy and at-ease when we got to see them during our wedding, and again when we picked them up the next day. Cannot say enough how grateful we are to have found Doreen to help us with them!!!
Doreen was great! We have a special needs dog who requires a very strict medication schedule and she took it all on. She sent pictures and videos throughout our time away. This helped to make use feel very comfortable knowing our Winter was being so well taken care of and loved. Doreen has a wonderful way with dogs and she took the time to care for Winter and make her feel at home. We would highly recommend Doreen and hope to use her again soon!
