Diana was excellent and my dog enjoyed staying with her. She provided many updates and photos and I felt 100% comfortable with her caring for my dog during his stay.

Diana doesn't know how to care for a dog. When I brought Pepe over for a meet n greet, I explained his potty habits. That he typically wants to go out around 6am, but once in a while he has to go around 4 or so. She was angry that he woke her at 6 on the 1st night. She told me that was too early. On the 2nd night he woke up at 4, then again at 6. When we dropped him off, she seemed on edge. But she said she was fine with him needing to be with people. When we were leaving she was trying to get him to go in the house, but she chased him and yelled at him. That freaked him out so he didn't trust her. Later, she said she tried to grab him. He almost bit her, which tells me he was really scared. She would leave him outside, alone, and he would bark. She said non stop. If she would have let him in he wouldn't bark. She doesn't know how to communicate with a dog. She wants them quiet, submissive, and happy to be locked in a cage. On the 1st night he wouldn't go to bed for her. Just barked at her. I suggested she might try putting him in her big cage with his blanket. She did, but didn't tell me that he wasn't allowed in the main part of the house. I imagine he was barking because a) he was lonely, b) he missed us, c) he had to go out, or d) he was traumatized and depressed and wanted to be comforted. Maybe he was hungry? Or just having a senior moment? She should NOT claim to know how to care for seniors, obviously. To be fair, I ended up finding his leash in my car when we got back. That was my bad. How did she not have another leash? That should be basic supplies for a dog-sitter. She never told me that she worked outside of the home. She thought just leaving him alone in a strange place was ok. Obviously, it wasn't. I hired her to take care of him. She didn't. I was very grateful that you found Dora to come get him. He went to her immediately. 10 minutes after they got to her house he was up on the couch, next to her. She said the only time he barked, except for food & potty breaks, was when her husband came in the room. I had told her how protective he is. They fell in love with each other immediately. Pepe had diarrhea in his cage. Dora gave him a shower, washed his blankets and made him rice & carrots to help him. I'm sure it was caused by his nerves. She is amazing! No stars, no tip for Diana.
