Animals have always been a major part of my life and my family's life. During most of my college years, I worked for the Humane Society of the United States facility on New York Avenue in Washington, D.C., where I gained valuable hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Today, I continue my commitment to animal welfare by volunteering with the Charles County Humane Society, where you can often find me spending time in the Cat House caring for and socializing cats awaiting their forever homes. My daughter is also actively involved in animal rescue and serves as a Master Walker. Rescuing animals is more than a hobby—it's a passion. I have helped rescue dogs found on the streets of Washington, D.C., and worked to place them in loving, responsible homes. I have extensive experience with many breeds and specialize in the care, handling, and understanding of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
