Animals have always been a central part of my life. I have owned and cared for pets since I was seven years old and worked for the humane society for two years while attending college. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing them with love, attention, patience, and a safe environment. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, car rides, and engaging them in playtime activities that keep them happy, active, and mentally stimulated. My experience with a variety of breeds has given me extensive knowledge of different temperaments, behaviors, and care needs. I am gentle, dependable, and committed to ensuring every pet feels comfortable and secure. In addition to caring for my own animals, I have rescued pets and helped provide safe homes for those in need. I am also a dedicated supporter of the humane society because I believe pets truly enrich our lives. Each animal has a unique personality and special way of communicating, and I find great joy in building trusting relationships with them. For me, caring for pets is more than a responsibility—it's a passion and a way of helping save and improve lives.

Denise was fantastic watching my dog! My dog sitter fell through while I was on a trip and Denise stepped in the same day to take my dog in. She was very communicative and regularly sent me pictures and videos of my dog. Highly recommend!
Denise was amazing! It was my first time leaving my fur baby with someone new. As soon as we met her spirit made me feel comfortable. She shared updates and photos which I appreciated. My fur baby looked happy and enjoyed playing with her pups. I will def use her again!

This was Alfie and my first time boarding. Denise was better than amazing. I was very nervous but she explained everything and answered all my questions. She has really good energy and its obvious she really loves dogs. She was more than accommodating, even when my schedule changed last minute. I could not recommend her enough.

A typical day
Animals have always been a major part of my life and my family's life. During most of my college years, I worked for the Humane Society of the United States facility on New York Avenue in Washington, D.C., where I gained valuable hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Today, I continue my commitment to animal welfare by volunteering with the Charles County Humane Society, where you can often find me spending time in the Cat House caring for and socializing cats awaiting their forever homes. My daughter is also actively involved in animal rescue and serves as a Master Walker. Rescuing animals is more than a hobby—it's a passion. I have helped rescue dogs found on the streets of Washington, D.C., and worked to place them in loving, responsible homes. I have extensive experience with many breeds and specialize in the care, handling, and understanding of the American Pit Bull Terrier. I believe these dogs are often misunderstood and deserve knowledgeable, compassionate care. For me, caring for animals is about giving them safety, love, respect, and the opportunity to thrive. ❤️🐾🐶🐱
