Safety, trust & environment

Dogs prefer to be with people, and your dog will be allowed everywhere in our house, except for the office (where the cat food and litterboxes are located). We have a large fenced-in backyard and pastures for walks (great smells!). As an added benefit to you, we will put a pet tracker on your pet's collar. This allows us to see the location of your pet in real time. Our goal is to provide your pet with the care and attention they need. We have two teenage sons who help us as well. Our children love animals, and we are ready to care for your dog while you are away! We are happy to communicate with messages and pictures of your pet's daily activities. We can provide a daily walk and we have comfy dog beds to nap on. We also have crates if that is needed.

Information Deborah & Dick W. would like to know about your pet

It is important to us that your dog is not aggressive in nature. Ideally, we'd like a meet and greet before a stay to make sure your dog and ours will get along. Also, your dog must not be aggressive toward cats.

A typical day

Dogs that stay with us will be treated like family. Indoors and outdoors, they will be near us. Additionally, we live on ten acres, with trails on eight acres. Lots of space for great walks.

Pet Care in Wayland!

Pet care experience

My name is Deborah and my husband is Dick. We love animals. I grew up in a cat-loving family and I've owned and cared for dogs as well, since I was a young adult. We also love birds and other critters that cross our path out where we live in the country. I'm the person who stops to help the turtles across the road!

Thank you so much for always taking such great care of Shirley Temple. She loves hanging out with your family and we love the peace of mind that comes with knowing she is in a safe place and having the time of her life!

They were great with Lily, keeping her active, feeding her the way I do and making her part of their family. I enjoyed the videos and pictures. They were easy and great to work. Made my trip a lot easier.
