Hi there, I'm Darcy! I’ve been around animals my whole life and truly love caring for them. I’ve dog-sat for friends, family, and neighbors over the years, and I know how important it is to find someone who treats your pets like their own. I’ve had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and birds myself, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities and needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or a little extra attention during mealtime (softened food, eggs, or meds—no problem!), I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine and preferences. Messes don’t scare me—they’re just part of the fun! I also understand that every pet needs a mix of stimulation and quiet time, and I’ll make sure your pup gets both while you’re away. I’m reliable, calm, and genuinely enjoy the company of animals. I’d love the chance to care for your little buddy!

Darcy , her dog, and teenage kids were FANTASTIC! my dog is a picky eater and Darcy did great with reading Maya’s cues! She got to snuggle at night and during the day she chose to stay at Darcy’s feet! I had a family emergency and needed her to watch Maya for 3 extra days- no problem, she showed great empathy and took care of it. I also received daily photos which really helped me! Yes, I found my sitter, thanks Darcy!
Darcy took great care of our pup and provided feedback and a couple photos daily during his stay. Bosco seems like he had a great time playing and getting all sorts of energy out, he's been resting a lot since we picked him up. We appreciated the communications throughout the weekend and we would definitely recommend Darcy for any pet care needs. Thank you!
Darcy was fantastic, allows last minute bookings and was very kind. She sent pictures which were very appreciated and let me know how Obi was doing. Also had him ready to go when we picked him up. Would recommend and book again.
Darcy and her family were amazing! Some backstory, I haven’t used a sitter in over a year, the last time that I did use a sitter my pup unfortunately got off his harness and hit by a car. He passed away a few days later. It was a freak accident and not the sitters fault. Naturally, it’s still made me hesitant to let my pups out of my control. Darcy and her family made this first time since that tragedy feel safe for me. I cannot thank them enough for taking the best care of both Finnegan and Lucy while I was gone. Darcy and her family provided timely updates, they were understanding of my last history, and most importantly amazing with my pups. Finnegan is a senior and needs just a little extra care and they attended to him wonderfully. Lucy is a rescue with a traumatic past and is scared of everything. They made Lucy feel safe in their home which is a testament to the type of animal lovers this family is. I’d recommend Darcy and her family 1,000 times over. If you’re worried about how your pup will be without you, let me tell you that my pups DID NOT miss me when I picked them up, haha. I will be using Darcy and her family for all of my pet needs in the future.
Third time with Darcy and we will be coming back. Darcy and her family seem to take great care of our dog! We also appreciate all of the pictures and updates while away!

Schedule
Pet care fits really naturally into my daily routine! I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to be fully present with your pup throughout the day—whether that means heading out for a walk, playing a bit, or just providing some cozy company while I work. Some dogs love action, some just want a buddy nearby—I’m here for both! I’m usually available for boarding most days, so feel free to check in with me about dates. I share my home with my husband and three animal-loving kids (one teen, two preteens), all of whom are experienced with pets big and small—including dogs, horses, guinea pigs, and birds. They know how to be gentle and respectful, and the extra helping hands can definitely come in handy. There are occasional quick errands like school pickup, but I always make sure your pup is safe, comfy, and settled when I step out. Overall, your pet will get lots of attention, care, and a relaxed homey vibe while they’re here!

I do everything I can to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and right at home. I have a fenced-in grassy yard where they can run around and play, and my own dog—a friendly, easygoing 6-year-old Mini Schnauzer—loves having a buddy to hang out with. That said, I know not every pup wants to socialize all the time, so I have separate spaces in the house and a crate available if anyone needs some alone time—whether that’s for part of the day or the whole stay. I also make sure all food is kept separate to avoid any drama around mealtime. If I’m taking care of your pet in your home, I’ll stick to their routine and make sure they’re comfortable and happy in their familiar space. It’s all about creating a calm, safe environment where your pet can feel at ease.

A typical day
Between playtime with my Mini Schnauzer (if they like the guy!), free play outside, playing catch, snuggling, and resting, your pup will be tired and filled with love by the time they get back into your arms. :) I'm also up for any suggestions you have! Let me know if you have special requests!
