I am a stay-at-home mom with four kids raging in age from 16 down to 2 yrs who all love animals! I grew up with all kinds of animals, including several dogs, cats, hampsters, birds, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, and more. We live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood. Our yard has a fenced area (about 4-ft high) for dogs to run about when the weather is appropriate, and there are a lot of places we can walk to as well. We also have a long tie-out that dogs can be put on inside the fenced area (if they are prone to try and jump the fence). Our town has an off-leash dog park too. We have a 4 yr. old mini Australian Shepherd (fixed female) and a 14 year-old black lab mix (fixed female). Our lab can be little "growly" towards new dogs initially (protective nature) but we keep her separate from dogs we watch until she calms down and we are sure she is going to behave nicely. Typically, she is friendly with the visiting dogs after a couple hours, if not sooner. I request that all dogs staying with us be current on vaccinations and flea treatment. Our cats typically spend most of their time upstairs (where other pets aren't allowed), so if your dog doesn't get along well with cats, that is pretty easily avoided. We also have a finished basement where dogs can play, sleep, and lounge if the weather is is bad or very cold/hot.

We were in NE visiting family. Due to some last minute party changes, where dogs wouldn't be allowed, we found ourselves scrambling to find a place for our two dogs. Our other dog care options fell through so we dusted off our Rover.com account and found Danlynn. She responded quickly and communicated well with us. Ex. She sent an update on the dogs when we were away, which we appreciated. It sounds like our dogs had a good time playing with her kids and pets. Danlynn has a calming presence, and my dogs did not hesitate going with her when we dropped them off (and my dogs don't respond that way to everyone). It's hard to find a personalized stay like this in a small NE town. Danlynn was flexible to work with and made a stressful situation turn into a good one. Definitely recommend her and will consider her services again in the future. Thanks again Danlynn!

Danlynn was amazing. She sent plenty of photos and made sure to let us know how Koda was doing. Koda was happy and healthy while we were gone, which is all I can ask for!

Schedule
We are almost always home, so your pet's care is a top priority in our day. Your pets can expect to be loved on all day by my homeschooled kids as well. :)

We treat your pets like our own! They can get comfy on our couches, snuggle with my kids, enjoy treats and playtime with our dogs and special playtimes at the dog park. Be assured they will be getting LOTS of attention and love while you are away.

A typical day
I'm a stay-at-home mom and a homeschooler, so we are typically home all day, every day. My four kids are full of energy and sure to give your dog a run for your money! Your dog will be allowed to roam our house and the fenced area of our backyard during the day (weather permitting). We can take him/her on a walk around the neighborhood once per day if needed (you provide collar & leash). We will do our very best to make your dog feel like a part of our family!
