I've had dogs and other pets my entire life, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, quirks, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel at home. I recently spent almost 13 years caring for my Golden Retriever, Whiskey, who was a huge part of my everyday life. That experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, companionship, and paying attention to the little changes in a dog's behavior. I’m comfortable with the everyday responsibilities that come with having a dog—from feeding and walks to keeping them comfortable, entertained, and included in the household. My goal with Rover is to provide a calm, safe, and genuinely loving home where your dog can feel like a guest rather than being treated like they're staying at a kennel. I prefer to keep boarding personal and manageable, with plenty of one-on-one attention and time together. I’m happy to follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications or special instructions, sleeping arrangements, and any habits that help them feel comfortable. I also understand that being away from their owner can be stressful for some dogs, so I’m patient and attentive when they need extra reassurance. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. My goal is for you to feel confident that your dog is safe, comfortable, cared for, and getting plenty of attention while you're away.
