I always want to know what issues to look out for to keep everyone safe: how dogs are with eating things off the ground and in the house, how they are with kids and other dogs, and of course any medications and allergies.
A typical day
My wife and I both work remotely, making it easy to keep pets on their usual routine. When we're not working we're visiting friends, hiking, and otherwise enjoying life. When going out we bring the dogs with us whenever possible, so we opt for dog friendly places and activities.

Pet care experience
I'm looking for dogs and cats to keep me company. I love to go for long walks and am used to having pets around me all the time. I travel frequently, so I am not a good fit for someone looking for consistent availability. I've spent the past few years pet sitting while traveling around North America and Europe. I've house sat in mansions with household staff as well as rustic off-grid homesteads. I've done well over 100 house sits, some of which were several months long. Before I became a pet sitter, I had my own cats, one of whom had diabetes. Before I bought my own home, I took care of my roommate's dogs. I grew up on a dahlia farm in Wall, NJ, where we had lots of dogs and cats over the years. In addition to Rover's background check, I've passed background checks to move to Portugal in 2022, become a Canadian citizen in 2022, work with vulnerable people in Canada in 2021, and move to Canada in 2015.

Wow! What a wonderful experience we all had with Cori and Katia caring for our little Havanese Zuzu. This was the first time that we ever left Zuzu with anyone and we could not have been more satisfied. We were completely relaxed going to spend time with family. We even feel that Zuzu received so much positive care that she, being a 10 month old puppy became even more trained and grounded. We even feel we have new friends. We would always choose them when we need care. The photos they sent were beautiful and Zuzu looked so happy being taken out and about many times a day.
Cori was an amazing pet sitter and house sitter. This was my first time using Rover and it could not have gone better. I was updated daily with pictures. Which allowed me to enjoy my vacation so much more. Having my two dogs being watched in their own home by such attentive and loving caregivers was a blessing. Cori and Katia gave both Fred and Sky lots of love and walks on the beach every day. Sky is 13 years old and Fred is 8 years old and they were able to give them medication and I felt comfortable leaving them with our Vet and emergency contact knowing that they would be able to handle anything that came their way while I was halfway across the world. I would not hesitate to call Cori again to watch Fred and Sky. My dogs probably miss them! You’re in good hands with Cori. Trust me :)
Corinne has sat for us and taken wonderful care of our two cats over many years. She’s always the first person we contact when we need to be away from home! She’s caring, attentive, and they both love her. We always come back to a spotless home and two happy foofs! Our one cat has chronic conditions that require quite a bit of special care and daily medications, so it’s important we have had someone we trust to keep her healthy. The other cat is very aggressive toward people, so many cat sitters are afraid to be around him. Not Cori! She and he have become buddies over the years (no small miracle!) and he genuinely seems sad when she has to leave. I absolutely recommend Cori to care for your pets with enthusiasm!
Corey & Katia are such a blessing to our family. They take great care of our two dogs, both with special diets and one with extensive medication and special needs. The dogs LOVE them both so much and are so happy when they get to spend time with them. We would highly recommend them and feel at ease when we travel now knowing our boys are well loved while we are gone.
