Safety, trust & environment
Reactivity to dogs/humans, jumping, anxiety, and fear - I know how to keep your pet comfortable! I have experience with every type of personality when it comes to dogs. Just inform me of noteworthy behavior and I will manage it accordingly. I can reinforce training, as requested. For sittings in your home: Notes on cameras and your responsibilities. Cameras: While I understand the desire to keep on eye on your pet while away, I prefer no cameras inside the home as their presence would have me “on the clock” 24/7 and limit my privacy. If having cameras inside is a need, I would require all to be disclosed and the ability for me to unplug them during non-working hours. We can discuss your desires, but usually I unplug them when I am in your home and plug them in if I need to leave the home. Outdoor cameras, including doorbell cameras, are okay, just be sure to disclose. Your responsibilities: While I will maintain the safest environment possible while caring for your pet, being in your home means it is your responsibility to remove and/or indicate anything that could harm your pet. Some examples include: food, cleaning products, garbage, choking hazards (including certain dog toys), sharp objects, medications, and weapons. If you have any weapons, be sure to review Rover’s specific policy regarding them. Dogs act differently without their owner so it is better to be safe and over-protect and over-inform.
Information Connor C. would like to know about your pet
For everyone: Please let me know about any noteworthy behaviors (anxiety, fear, reactivity, prey drive), allergies, and how your dog handles different weather (rain, snow, hot days). I require Rabies and DHPP vaccinations for all dogs in my care. For overnights: Share details about medications, sleeping arrangements, feeding/walking schedules, and what to do if your dog is left alone. I require that dogs be on a flea prevention, and I highly recommend Heartworm prevention as well as vaccinations for Bordetella, Leptospirosis, and Canine Influenza. I cannot board dogs with communicable illnesses, but I’m happy to care for dogs managing non-communicable conditions (with clear instructions from you).
A typical day
Long walks, fetch, toys, treats, beach, dog-friendly spots. Just let me know what your dog likes to do and we will do that! I can give them a bath as needed.

Pet care experience

Reviews

Connor took great care of our senior dog Gus. He sent updates and pictures frequently and I rarely had to check in first, which always puts my mind at ease. He treated our home with care and left it in great condition. We’d love to have Connor back in the future to stay with Gus!

Second time Connor stayed at our house with our pup and he did a great job! Will book again.

Connor did a great job watching our dogs while we are were away for a few days. The dogs were happy, he sent routine updates, and was professional throughout. Would be happy for Connor to watch our dogs in the future.

Tamale loves Baxter and is always eager to walk with him. Baxter has been consistently communicative and reliable. Our family would gladly hire him to walk Tamale again in the future.
