Information Claire P. would like to know about your pet

I currently don’t have any pets so there is nothing specific that is needed for them. But when I am pet sitting I like to treat the pet as if it’s my own.

A typical day

I know some enrichment activities from when I volunteered with the SF SPCA so like to throw some of those in when taking care of a dog that seems like they need more stimulation. Otherwise I’ll of course play with and walk as necessary.

Pet care experience

I've been taking care of my family dog and a neighbors cat since I was in high school. Since then I have grown a lot as an animal care taker. I have gotten the opportunity to volunteer with the SF SPCA for about two years. There I learned a lot of skills specifically for when it comes to taking care of dogs. Things ranging from best walking practices, how to teach them basic commands and how to interact with reactive dogs. While doing that I also gained some regular four legged clients. Overall I really enjoy spending time with pets but currently don’t have the ability to have one of my own so pet sit to fill that pet shaped gap.

Claire was fantastic. From the moment we met her, she was warm, professional, and clearly experienced with dogs. She took exceptional care of my anxious dog, Balu, and we were so relieved to come home to a relaxed, happy dog. Claire kept us updated with photos and messages throughout our trip, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She stayed in our home and left everything spotless. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again if she’s available.

Claire is absolutely wonderful. She accepted my request at the last minute and truly cared about my cats’ well-being. She kept me updated throughout the day and made me feel completely at ease. She’s definitely a keeper, and I would highly recommend her to anyone
