When you're away, you want the best for your pets. I am a full time pet caregiver, focused wholeheartedly on the continued well-being of your animal companions, your family, and your home. When I care for your cats: Change can be difficult for cats - my primary goal when caring for your cat is provide continuity of experience, to do my best to help your cat feel as though you never left. I love to play and I'm fascinated by the hunting drive; if you have a typically active kitty you can bet you'll see some fun action shots of our time together! With those who are more shy and cautious, I am patient, calm, and undemanding -- and often able to make a connection even with the most reserved. I'm comfortable with & experienced at administering medication. When I care for your dog: I love to walk! Rain or shine, hot or cold, and everything in between. I'm confident walking with large, strong dogs, and with multiple dogs. I know how to coach major improvement in the walk behavior of the most determined pullers, and how to encourage more shy and anxious buddies to relax and be comfortable in their world. I look at every walk as an opportunity to practice the patience, steadiness, and mindfulness that makes for a great pet and a great packmate. I practice balanced training methods and I am deeply invested in your dog’s psychological wellbeing, not just providing physical activity. ** I'm fully vaccinated, and still taking public health seriously. I'm comfortable continuing to wear a mask, and always sanitize my leashes and tools between uses, and protecting your home and family is a top priority for me. I will always treat your home with the love and respect I would show my own home. I will always comport myself in the same manner as I would if you were standing next to me. I do ask that if you have smart home products, smart speakers, or recording devices enabled in your home that you please let me know.

Claire recognizes the traits and needs of our indoor cat and the stray we have been feeding for years. We appreciate her setting our minds at ease when we travel, since we know she is extremely responsible, observant, and affectionate.
Clair cares for Dori (and our stray, Misty) as we do. Dori was seemingly sad and "down" after we left for a 10-day trip, but with Clair's attention and time, she seems to be comfortable and content now. We appreciate her very much!

Because Clare gives our cat love and attention, she remains calm and content while we are away. We are very fortunate to have worked with this fabulous sitter for four years!
Claire thought our cat was out when it was time for her to leave for another job. As it turns out, Dori ran back in while Claire was looking for her in the yard, but Claire did not know that. She made another trip back to the house after 9:30 p.m. to find Dori inside, a huge relief for all of us! Claire kept us informed and could not have been more responsible with our sneaky kitty! We and Dori adore her!
Claire is exceptionally responsible -- sending photos of water in the basement after a huge storm; reporting small ants in the kitchen and moving the cat food to keep them away from it. Our baby (and the stray we feed outside) are always content and happy while we're gone.

Schedule
Caring for animals is my full time job. Just because your pet can't read the wall clock doesn't mean they don't know what time it is (just try delaying dinner by a half hour!) I'll always arrive early, stay late, and give your pet the best I've got.
