Pet care experience
Returning after a long hiatus ❤︎
I've lived with and made friends with so many different species of animal that my camera roll is mostly pets. It's not just adoration but also unconditional respect that helps me connect and understand the nuances in pet behavior and body language. I've experienced pet care work from different angles: retail, non-profit, and direct care, like Rover and Wag. It's taught me a lot of what I know today. I also have personal experience from living with my own pets, and pets of friends! I took a very long break from Rover as I navigated some huge life changes but I'm happy to be active again. Caring for animals is a very strong passion of mine. I worked at an animal shelter for over a year and found it to be very fulfilling. I worked at a pet store for about two years, which was very different, but still put me in a position to continue providing care which I was so grateful for. I've been doing Rover and Wag since 2019. Meeting new animals has always been a joy for me and I feel good about what I do. Pets are family and I hold dear the moral responsibility that comes with that.

Safety, trust & environment
I know that as pet parents we always want to make sure our pets are well cared for and that they themselves feel that way. I want that too! It is my goal to make your pets feel safe with me as best as I can. I can't host but I would respect your home as if it were my own. New faces paired with new surroundings can be a lot to take in, so as your guest and their caretaker I keep this in mind. I know firsthand that any animal feels most comfortable in their own environment, and I realize my place as a guest in their space. I understand that it may take time for your pet to warm up to me, and that's perfectly okay! I'm very patient and have a calm temperament. I don't expect every single animal to love me, my goal is to take care of them first and foremost. Gaining your pets affection is just a bonus for me, its not something I'm entitled to. Please let me know if you have any cameras though. I get it, I used to have a WyzeCam for my cats when I'd be gone too. (Because, if I do a funny dance or improv a song for your pet I might wanna know if I have a bigger audience, I'm a bit more shy with humans 😂)

Cindy has stayed in our apartment to take care of our pets a handful of times now and we’ll definitely continue to reach out to her in the future. She sends tons of pictures letting us know our pets are getting lots of love while we are away.

Cindy has done an amazing job caring for my cat. He doesn’t like everyone, but I can tell from the cute pictures she takes every visit that he really enjoys her visits. She makes sure to play with him with his favorite toys and keep the litter clean and feed him on time. Thanks Cindy!
Cindy was incredible with our cat while we were away on our honeymoon! She showed up on time, fed him, gave him treats and brushed him! She even managed to get him to play a bit, which is a feat unto itself. Thank you Cindy!
I wouldn’t hesitate to book Cindy again. Toby was relieved to have a sitter while I spent the day away at a wedding. It gave me peace of mind to know he was being given such good care while I was away. He had such a great time!

Schedule
My schedule as of right now is very flexible because aside from occasional side gigs, my main anchor is school. I'm a full-time student but my classes are all online and asynchronous, so I have a lot of room in my schedule for your pets.

- I would like to know the personality of your loved one so I have an idea of what to expect and I can act accordingly. You have a timid pet? We'll take it slow. No pressure. You have a high energy pet? I'm going to make sure I have matching energy, too. Does your pet have any triggers I should know about? Do they have any favorite toys/favorite treats/favorite food? Do they like lots of pets? Do they get weird about being pet a certain way, or certain behaviors that freak them out? (For example one of my cats runs away from me when I sneeze.) Does anything stress them out? How are they with other animals? How are they with new people? Do you care for them in a specific way that I should adhere to? Do they take medication? Things like that are really important so that I can assess whether I would be a good fit or not and it gives me the tools to be the most accommodating I can be.
