I've been a small animal veterinary technician for more than 10 years. My specialty is senior care, including managing cats or dogs with diabetes or kidney disease. I previously had a cat-sitting business when I worked at The Cat Practice in New York City in the mid 1990s. Here in Maine, I have had occasional pet sitting jobs. I am also an experienced horse owner.

Safety, trust & environment
For home visits, I will spend at least 30 minutes with your pet at each visit, if not longer. During that time I will play with them, take them for walks (if canine), or sit quietly if a kitty or older canine prefers. I will feed, ensure they have fresh, clean water, and maintain litter boxes if feline.

Chris was our fabulous neighbor who just happened to be a vet tech! We have a bunch of cats, three right now but Chris was lucky enough to live next door to us when we had 5! What a gift to be able to leave town and know that someone like Chris is looking in on our pets. Right now we have a cat who needs an inhaler twice a day. What a relief for us to have someone like Chris to provide the level of care he needs daily, allowing us to leave home if we’d like. Chris IS the person you want to check in on your pets. She’s amazing.

Schedule
I am currently working part-time, and can easily fit in visits to your furry friends. I am based out of Gray and will travel within 30-45 minutes of my home. I can also provide over-night care as well.
