Pet care experience
Dog Mom & Animal Shelter Volunteer
As long as I can remember, I have always had animals - big & small dogs, cats - even birds and reptiles. When I am not spending time with my own dogs, I volunteer at my local animal shelter - taking the dogs on field trips, teaching them manners and helping them cope with the stress of shelter life. I also foster cats and kittens for the shelter. I do have a certification for dog training, however, the real learning comes from the constant interaction with the dogs on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
I have known Christina since we were teenagers. She has always loved animals. She shows great care for her two dogs and all animals she comes in contact with. She volunteers her weekends at our local animal shelter where she assists with a variety of canine breeds, sizes and temperaments. Even as a volunteer she is entrusted to work with some of the more challenging dogs. She has taken shelter dogs into the community to give them exposure to other people, animals and to let them experience life outside of the shelter setting. I have been on neighborhood dog walks with her (sometimes with just her dogs but sometimes with other folks and their dogs) and it is evident she has trained her dogs well. They respond well to her direction and she demonstrates excellent skills managing her dogs in a variety of settings. It's clear Christina continues to have a strong love and respect for all animals especially dogs and I have no doubt that you would feel at ease leaving your fur babies in her care.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I am available most evenings during the week and most mornings on the weekends. Later times on the weekends could be available as long as I can get to the animal shelter.

Safety, trust & environment
I would follow the client's instructions when taking care of their animals. I would abide by their routine, their walk schedule and their animals needs.

A typical day
The fun activities depends on the dog and their needs. It could mean a walk around the block, a game of catch, a quick jog.
