I don't host pets in my home, I stay at others' homes. If you are looking for that service, I don't offer it but Rover is a great site.
Information Chris M. would like to know about your pet
The main thing I like to know about a dog beforehand is their energy levels. Active, not active, etc. It's all fine and dandy, I just like to have an idea. A 2 year old dog is different to care for than a 12 year old dog. Also, if there are medications, that is good, absolutely. Though those types of clients are the ones who are usually upfront with me about it all. But in terms of breeds, absolutely not, I like all breeds and have cared for all breeds/sizes/ages.
A typical day
Since I work from home, when I dogsit I enjoy changing up the routine by taking breaks and taking dogs for walks. Around neighborhoods are usually the preferred routes. Walking is good time for both of us, I do enjoy it. Dogs are great, playing around is an excellent way to unwind. I am an early riser, which most dogs tend to be as well. I can take any pets to nearby parks, etc., if the owners do that and feel it would be good for the dog(s). I own my own vehicle and can dogsit in any part of town.

Pet care experience
I began doing this to make ends meet during the Recession. As it turns out, I love doing it. I don't have any animals myself, so staying long-term isn't a problem. Big dogs, little dogs—I have fun with them all. I am a writer and don't have a day job, so I am there in the daytime for your pets. (Just need Internet.) I meet with clients here and there, but never gone for long periods of time. One thing: if you're looking for a sitter for a weekend stay and it's more than 4 weeks away, please pass me by. I don't like tying up my schedule that far in advance, thank you for understanding.
Reviews

Chris did an amazing job house sitting our little farm. He was an attentive house sitter and everyone was happy and healthy when we got home. Thanks so much!

The dogs had another great long weekend with Chris. Not everyone is cut out for taking care of four frenchies, but Chris did a great job, as always. He spends a ton of time with them so I never have to worry about them being crated all day.

Chris was great and kept me updated on everyone throughout. Highly recommend!

Chris was great and spent a ton of time with our pups while we were gone. Communication was great with regular updates.
