Remy and I live with family since moving back to Mississippi, so while we do accept some clients in home, it is based on a number of factors (size, temperament, etc.) due to the limited space and another family dog present, but most of the time I prefer to keep your fur baby in the comfort of their own home. Here we have a fenced in front and back yard for an extended play area. It also comes in handy for emergency potty breaks if needed outside of walks or if the weather doesn’t permit. For when I accept to care for your fur baby in their own space, I find that it is best to visit prior to the selected date to go over requests and requirements. Keep reading or click “Details” to learn about how spending a day with me and Remy would look like!
Information Chris F. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know the temperament of your little one. And what can I do to become its best friend too?! Is there a special petting technique used or any extraordinary traits that I should know about before our visit? Make sure to bring a piece of home (blanket/towel) and an array of toys, food, treats they may enjoy.
A typical day
Currently I’m home everyday, with brief absences no longer than 2 to 4 hours max. We go out in the morning for a walk, come back and eat breakfast. They are free to go in and out to bask in the sunlight outside for as long as their heart desires. If weather + schedule permits, another short walk around mid-day to stretch those little legs and a tasty treat to boot! After work, we’ll cuddle and talk about our day or watch a movie on the couch together. Around dusk we’ll have dinner and a final walk for the day, cuddle some more before bed, and then we’re off to snooze city! To have full transparency, long-distance house sitting may require addition travel fee. For traveling outside of zip code, 39359, long-distance house sitting pricing is as follows: * Up to 15 miles: Included in base rate. * 15–30 miles: Add $15 * 30–50 miles: Add $32 * 50+ miles: Charge $0.80 per mile (round trip) or a flat travel fee, depending on the distance and time involved. Thank you for your understanding!

Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs + cats all throughout my life but really took on care for one on an everyday basis about 15 years ago when I brought my little Maltese, Banunu, home. She has since crossed the rainbow bridge to where I like to think she’s making new friends and feeling more loved everyday. A new little guy, Remy, a 3yo Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, recently came into my life as a surprise adoption and I’m quickly falling in love all over again!
Reviews

Chris was great with my dog Nino. She sent frequent updates and was really attentive to make sure he felt comfortable at her house.
Chris was wonderful. She took great care of our dog and sent us regular updates and photos. Would recommend her highly to anyone.

Fantastic again! Thanks!

Chris was terrific. She took great care of our dog and was wonderful in giving us regular updates and photos and videos of him. Our dog clearly really enjoyed spending time with her. He was very relaxed and happy when we returned to him. We would highly recommend her to anyone.
