When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner’s routine closely — including feeding times, walks, medication (if needed), and play. I give plenty of companionship, ensure fresh water is always available, and maintain a tidy environment. I also respect the client’s home, leaving everything as I found it. Dogs are taken outside for regular walks, toilet breaks, and exercise, while cats or smaller pets have safe indoor spaces to explore. I keep the environment calm, clean, and pet-friendly, making sure there are no hazards.

It’s also important to be aware of medications, exercise preferences, and favorite types of play, as well as any quirks in their personality — for example, if they’re shy, energetic, or have certain fears or triggers. I also like to know the house rules, such as whether they’re allowed on furniture, and to have emergency contact details, including their vet information. The more I know ahead of time, the easier it is to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and cared for just the way you would.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, active, and entertained! With dogs, I enjoy going on regular walks so they get plenty of exercise and fresh air, followed by fun playtime with toys or puzzle games indoors. For cats, I bring out their playful side with feather wands, balls, or laser toys, and also make time for cuddles and quiet companionship if that’s what they prefer. For smaller pets, I provide safe playtime, enrichment activities, and gentle care to keep them comfortable and stimulated.

Hallo! 😊 Ich wohne in Aachen und studiere momentan meinen Master im Bereich Materialingenieurwesen. Früher hatte ich selbst über 6 Jahre lang eine Katze und seitdem liebe ich Katzen einfach sehr. Sie helfen mir, Stress abzubauen und zu entspannen. Da ich in Deutschland nur selten Katzen sehe, vermisse ich sie sehr – deshalb möchte ich gerne als Petsitterin tätig sein. Ich freue mich besonders darauf, mit ihnen zu kuscheln, zu spielen und ihnen einfach Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Hello! My name is Büşra and I am a Master’s student in Materials Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Besides my studies, I enjoy spending time outdoors, cycling, hiking, and being active. I would love to be a pet sitter because animals bring me joy and balance in my daily life. Growing up, I was always surrounded by pets, from cats and dogs to cows and sheep that I had to take care of, and learned early on how much joy and comfort they bring to everyday life. I used to have cat for 6 years, being volunteer for taking of cats and dogs in university campus when I was back in Turkey. I would love to be family to a cat or dog but I don't have space to provide that yet so that's the reason for me to want to be a petsitter.
