Hi, we are Brooke and Ryan, a married couple and doggie care team. Like you, we adore dogs. There's nothing better than the love of these furry friends and family. From Brooke: In addition to growing up with dogs my whole life and caring for a couple of special pooches for extended times, I also was a mom for 9 years to Maggie, my beautiful cocker spaniel. Though we are not ready to adopt our own pup just yet, it is such a joy to have dogs around. Dog training has been a hobby of mine. I do not offer it as a service, but I do believe that dogs not only need, but appreciate, rules and boundaries. This is just to say that if you have a way of doing things for good behavior and manners, you can count on us to maintain consistency with your dog. I am the primary point person and caretaker of your pup. Ryan offers additional care, attention and coverage so your pup always has plenty. From Ryan: I also grew up with dogs and have had two special dogs in my life. Their unconditional love and joy inspires me. I live by the adage, "Be the person your dog thinks you are." Our apartment has a large living area and private patio - perfect for a dog up to about 50 lbs. This West Pasadena neighborhood is beautiful: wide tree-lined streets, sidewalks and lots of options for customizing walks. Please note: - there is a $15 add-on for dogs being picked up or dropped off before 8:00 AM or after 8:00 PM. Thank you for understanding. - Holiday rates apply

Cookie Monster always loves her time with Brooke and Ryan. She definitely feels at home and comes back happy and well cared for. She always runs to them when I drop her off so I know I’m leaving her in good hands.

I can’t recommend Brooke enough! I had an extended work trip and had to leave my little one with her for 5 weeks. Cookie seemed so comfortable and at home with Brooke, it was such a relief. We communicated daily with updates, pictures, and any other exciting news. So happy to have found her.
brooke and ryan cared for our lil (big) girl for almost 3 weeks, making sure she was well-exercised and well-cared for. i can't say enough about how thoughtful brooke was in the questions/info she asked for. thank you two again, so very much!

Schedule
We both currently work from home. Ryan generally does the morning walks and Brooke does the evening. We have a patio with a little yard for additional potty breaks unless the pup prefers to be on leash for those too.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a ground floor apartment with a comfortable fenced in patio and a small yard. Dogs love it out there in warmer months to cool off on the concrete or lay in the sun.
A typical day
If your dog has been trained, it's fun to run through some of those commands for body and brain exercise; it's nice to play around the house and patio with balls or other toys they love; there is a wonderful park around the corner which offers all kinds of fun smells and the neighborhood in general is amazing for long or short walks.

- Does your pup have special needs: - Puppies: there is an additional $20/night for pups under 6 months old and $10/night for pups 6 months to a year due to the added attention, vigilance, requisite training, clean-up, and risk of damage associated with pups. - Elders or Special Needs: please understand that dogs requiring extra potty breaks or walks, extra feedings, have incontinence, or other special needs, may incur an additional fee, which would be determined after the meet and greet. - Medications: there is a $10 fee per day for medication administration
