Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for various pets for 20 years and currently share my home with my puppy and two senior cats. I have also previously owned guinea pigs and rabbits. I’m reliable and happy to send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I understand that every pet has their own personality, preferences, and routines and will tailor my care to their individual needs. Cats: I have extensive experience caring for cats of all ages and personalities. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, monitoring appetite, litter box habits, hydration, and behavior, and following detailed care instructions to help ensure your cat stays happy, healthy, and comfortable at home. Dogs: I love dogs and have provided care for family and friends’ pups over the years. As a new dog owner, I’m currently enjoying training and learning more about canine behavior. I’m most comfortable caring for dogs without significant behavioral issues at this time and am especially passionate about senior dogs, which I have particular experience caring for. I understand that senior pets often need extra patience, consistency, and compassion, and I’m happy to provide that care in the comfort of their own home. ❤️ Other Small Pets: I’m happy to help with your small pets on a case-by-case basis. I’m familiar with proper guinea pig and rabbit care, including enclosure cleaning and preparing meals. I understand the importance of monitoring appetite, droppings, and behavior, and I’m familiar with the early signs of GI stasis. Services: I’m currently focusing my Rover services on drop-in visits, house sitting, and dog walking on weekends only. Due to my work schedule, new puppy, and temporarily caring for an additional family cat, I’ve chosen not to offer boarding or weekday services at this time while everyone adjusts to their routines. I hope to be able to have more availability in the future! If you would like your dog to go on hikes, sniffari adventures, etc in my care I am happy to do so :)

Ashley is one of the most thoughtful, loving, and responsible pet owners I’ve ever seen. I have seen her care for many animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and reptiles. She has been able to make any animal feel safe and cared for, even if they may be nervous or fearful. She allows animals to choose their speed and is considerate of all their needs. Ashley is currently caring for my cat for the next few months. My cat has some quirks, including a lot of anxiety/skittishness. Ashley was so thoughtful and heard my concerns about how my cat would do in a “stranger’s” home. She did everything to make my cat feel comfortable and safe. My cat warmed up to her incredibly fast, she is very very happy and content and it has put my mind at ease. Ashley has also cared for my father’s dog. He has a strong terrier personality and a big heart, which she won over with ease (I’m pretty sure she’s his favorite person in the world now). She now has a dog of her own that came from foster care. He was nervous and shy of others but he immediately warmed up to her and trusted her completely. He wants for nothing and has learned so much under her care. I cannot recommend Ashley enough as a pet sitter and caregiver. She has a gentle demeanor that invites trust, while also being skilled at holding boundaries with training/behavior.
