I am currently working full time Monday-Thursday, so I am available Fridays-Sundays. Depending on your location, I may be available for evening drop ins during the week after 530pm. If you are looking for Housesitting during the weekdays, I am able to take requests on a case-by-case basis.

Information Anikka S. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know the vaccination history of the pet. I ask for this so that should any medical emergency arise, I am able to answer those questions readily. Also, it is good to know the medical history, for if the pet parent would like for the dog to be taken to public areas like pet stores, dog parks, groomers,etc. High traffic areas like these can harbor illnesses that can be passed dog-to-dog, and I want to ensure your pet is protected! I would also like to know your pet’s temperament. 1)Does your dog get along with other dogs? Example:Should I be mindful of other dogs within the neighborhood coming to say "Hi" while on a walk? 2) How is your dog with other animals? Example: If I am out on a walk with your dog, does he/she usually dart off after a squirrel,rabbit, or cat? ( My family dog did this ALLLL the time, so do not feel embarrassed) Should I be extra mindful of this while caring for your pet? 3)Any medical concerns? 4) Any anxiety? Example:Storms, Men, Women, separation, children,etc 5) Pet's favorite thing! Example: Favorite spot to be rubbed, favorite blanket, Fav treat, fav thing to watch (birds,fish,woodland creatures,etc) I do not have breed preferences! I love them all big or small!
A typical day
Nothing beats a good walk around the neighborhood! I would like to keep the dogs around areas they are familiar with to keep their anxiety levels to a minimum. I do not jog/run due to previous health issues but I can walk long distances with small breaks in-between which is perfect for ensuring your pup urinates and defecates plenty before returning home. As long as there is a safe and enclosed area to do so, I love to play fetch or wrestle with their favorite toy. I will ensure that all pets are closely monitored while playing with toys to make sure that foreign materials are not ingested or teeth aren't chipped!( Sorry, Can't help it, that's the vet hospital side of me showing.) I am also a strong believer in creating novel enrichment for the species I service to encourage enjoyable species-specific behaviors to keep their minds active while you are away.

I have had dogs and cats my entire life, until the recent passing of my family dog. I am a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BS in Animal Sciences. I have worked at the Columbus Zoo, dog boarding facilities, and vet hospitals so I have a pretty good understanding of dog health and behavior. I am pretty low-key, so I try to be as calm and accommodating to all dog personality types. Whether you have a quiet senior or an excitable puppy, I can bend and mold to your doggo's needs! My services does not stop with just dogs, please ask me about your other lovable critters! I do work full time, so my services will primarily be available after 3:30 and on weekends. If my services are needed before 3:30pm, Please arrange them with me well ahead of time so that I can make the necessary changes in my FT work schedule to fulfill your needs!

10/10 Will recommend Anikka to anyone who needs pet sitting! She takes special care and consideration for your pet and will make sure she treats them as her own. She will go above and beyond, making sure they are well taken care of but that their behavioral needs are also met. My cat is very social and Anikka made sure to spend a lot of quality time with her. The pictures were great too! You can tell Anikka also has an animal care and behavior background, as she really understands your pet’s needs while you are gone. She’s great and everyone should hire her!
