I’m a nurse who works 3 days a week and on my off days I’d love to spend time caring for animals. I currently care for my cat but also dog sit for family/friends as needed.

I do not have a fenced in yard but I will put your pet on a leash and take them outside as much as possible, especially for walks. As for cats, I will interact with them as much or as little as they’d like! I will clean up if an accident happens, give them lots of pets, and give fresh water and food as wanted.

A typical day
I love to interact with dogs and take them on walks, it’s a win-win for both of us. I like playing fetch, taking dogs on runs, offering them treats or teaching them new tricks, and just giving them some pets.

Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with cats, dogs, and horses and have always been there for family members and neighbors when pet care services were needed. My sister got a puppy last year and I helped raised her, took her on walks, groomed her, etc. My other older sister was a dog trainer for years and taught me a lot about dog training. I’ve got experience with large dogs (grew up with Great Danes) but also small dog experience (had a shnoodle while in high school). I also volunteered at the local Humane Society to take many dogs out for walks, clean their cages, and help get them accustomed to people.

Andrea was helpful and communicative about my dog's stay. My dog reacted positively to her both before and after the visit. When she had a question, she asked, which was much appreciated! I felt we were on the same page. There was another dog in the house for part of the time, which was not in her profile, but she explained and made accommodations as needed so my pup (who is sometimes nervous with other dogs) could feel comfortable. I am also used to being able to enter the premises where my dog will be, and I wasn't able to do that at Andrea's place. The outside and the neighborhood were both well cared for. Andrea explained everything and sent me several photos of my dog getting comfortable. That really helped me feel at ease. All in all, it was a great experience, and I would recommend Andrea to others!
Andrea has cared for my dog a few times and she has been nothing but loving towards my puppy. She is very affectionate towards every animal she meets and is responsible with their needs.
