My name is Amber and I have been volunteering at adoption events for local rescues and dog/house/farm sitting for 10+ years. I currently own an active heeler/collie mix that I adopted from the Humane Foundation in 2023. I registered her with the AKC Canine Partners Program and we successfully completed the STAR Puppy program and earned a title in scent work. I have experience working with all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats, whether they are seniors or have special needs. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our dog Boo loves staying with Amber! He comes home tired and happy from running around the farm all day.
Amber was great with Chip and Penny, they enjoyed their stay with her so much! They were very happy, in a relaxed mood and tired when we picked them up. They were excited to return the next day! Amber treated them like they were her own and gave Penny a bubble bath when she rolled in something and got dirty. Amber lives on a beautiful Thoroughbred horse farm and she has friendly playful dogs and 2 companion goats for the horses that are cute and friendly. Amber is very good with animals and receptive to their needs. Being there was like a vacation for our dogs.
Our dog has been with Amber for day care and boarding, and she’ll be going back again whenever we need.
Amber was amazing, she took Maple with her to a farm and she was able to play the whole day. She had a lot of fun! We are looking forward to bringing Maple again next week!
Everything went perfectly according to plan with Amber. I left my two small dogs with her for about 5 days, one of which is very very attached to me. When I picked them up they had clearly had a great time and enjoyed themselves, which was such a huge relief. I got periodic picture and video updates and she always responded quickly and kindly to every question I had. Highly recommend Amber for any pet sitting needs!
Highly recommend! She worked with my schedule and went above and beyond to accommodate it. Sent plenty of pictures and videos, and Harley looks so happy in every one of them.

I currently work as an office manager for a 92-acre thoroughbred farm in Lexington. My schedule is flexible and I work about 40 hours a week. The farm is dog friendly and I bring my own dog to run around every day. It’s great exercise and they always sleep so well at the end of the day.

A typical day
I love playing all sorts of games, such as fetch, tug-of-war, etc. I can work with your dog on obedience training such as sit, down, come and heel. I will work rain or shine to provide the best possible care to your beloved friend. I have treat puzzle boards for enrichment entertainment. Your dog will go home feeling mentally and physically stimulated!
