Since my job is closed for the summer and we don't go anywhere, pet care fits perfectly into my lifestyle. I enjoy looking after animals, and my dogs have friends to play with since I don't like dog parks.

I have a fenced yard with a 3 ft underground cement border, so diggers aren't a problem! I have a built-in dog door so the babies have access to the outside world 24/7. Outside and inside, there is water, and we can have kibble in the room if your dog knows how to control themselves.

Drop-In Visits: * Do you want me to show up in the morning, midday, and/or evening? * On the last day, what time would you like me to visit? * If provided with a key, where would you like to leave it? Or would you prefer I give the key back to you in person? (I can also have a copy that will remain in a lockbox when not in use) * Do they currently have any illnesses or bugs that could be contagious or passed around? * Do you need me to take your animal to the pet or groomer? * Will anyone be coming in or out of the home during our scheduled times? (Housekeeper, gardener, family, etc…) * Where is your electrical panel? * Will anyone nearby know that you are away? (Neighbors or family) * Do you want me to collect the mail? * Do you want me to collect your newspaper? * Would you like me to alternate the curtains, blinds, and lights? * Would you like me to leave a TV or a radio on? * Take out trash/recycle? Fetch and other play (if they know and/or enjoy it). Playing with my babies! - I am not against wrestling and jaw-play so long as everyone knows that it's playful. I've broken up fights before and prefer not to have to do that.

I'm baaaaaaack! NOTE: My availability has changed. If you want to board your dog with me, please make sure to let me know if they can be left unsupervised in case I need to go out for whatever reason. My animal experience is lifelong. I grew up with a house that had two cats and a dog, which remained that way for many years. After the animals passed, my family agreed to take in more, once again having two cats and a small dog. I also used to work for a pet store, where I was educated and certified in dog behavior and training, and ended up as Head Dog Trainer for that location, and trained other Dog Behavior Specialists. I'm a nurturing and firm caretaker. I will follow your instructions explicitly as to how to care for your pet child. I am flexible and adaptable to what your family requires. For boarding, I have three large dogs. My room has a dog door leading to the securely fenced backyard, where our dogs can happily, freely, and safely potty and play when they need to. The dogs are all fixed, mixed breeds, and love playing with other dogs. I absolutely love animals and will respect the way you want to raise your babies. With my education, I am both patient and understanding as to what the pet and the pet parents require. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies!!! - Amanda

We had a video call with Amanda prior to booking and all seemed great. She communicated well throughout the process. The only concern we had was when we dropped off dog, Gus, she never invited us into her home. She took Gus's food, dish, leash etc. but never let us see the inside of her home. Not that I expected anything wrong but found this behavior odd. Gus seemed well and happy when we picked him up.
Amanda and her family are amazing! We used her with our previous dog as well, so we already knew Nash would be in great hands. Nash absolutely loved staying at her house and getting to spend time with her family and dogs. Amanda sent pictures, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’re so thankful to have someone we trust to care for our dog and would definitely use her again!
Amanda was just wonderful with Luna! The daily pictures/video updates were so appreciated, and Luna couldn’t have come back any happier! Highly recommend
Amanda was amazing! We booked with her for a short trip to Yakima and felt very comfortable leaving our puppy with her. Her pups were great, and we loved getting an update during the weekend.
