My experience with animals &my home
Hi, my name is Alix. I am 24 years old and live in a ground floor flat in matson, Gloucester. I have 2 children, 3&5 years old. I also have 4 cats who have been the first encounter for many dogs which I am happy to do with the owner here if your dog hasn’t been around cats before. I also understand that sometimes dogs and cats aren’t the best of friends so I’m happy to keep them separate if needed. I unfortunately don’t currently drive so you would need to bring your pooch to me. Caring for dogs is a passion for me. I took a break from dog boarding for a while but now on the hunt to make more doggy friends and help out owners! I have been dog boarding for 3 years now and cared for dogs of all ages. My children are used to dogs & my partner has 2 Staffordshire bull terriers at his mum’s who my children see regularly. I also have a jack russel and a jug at my mum’s who I absolutely adore and grew up with. I have my own fenced garden and will definitely take your pooch on walks at our local field! I highly rate Alix for looking after your little pet. Alix made me feel so comfortable straight away and the communication was the best. The rates you pay are so decent compared to everyone else. Alix and her family were amazing with Bella I was unsure how she would be around cats and Alix’s partner was amazing and slowly introduced Bella to the cats with me there and we learnt that Bella actually loves cats☺️ all the cats kept themselves to themselves most of the time Alix was brilliant ensuring Bella was comfortable and safe. She got lots of attention and I video called every night for the week I was away and Alix was so lovely and reassured me daily and made the time to talk to me and show me Bella even if I was a bit ott 🙈 Her children are amazing with dogs and her daughter is so gentle. I drop Bella in for a few hours here and there just because she loves it so much
Alix and her family cared for my sausage dog 5 days a week 9-5 for a couple months whilst I couldn’t work from home. He has severe anxiety and can’t be left alone so I needed someone I could rely on to be there for him and be understanding. When I went on holiday for 2 weeks she was absolutely incredible. Sent me daily updates and Jackson got lots and lots of attention. Every time I take him to her home he is so excited and runs straight through the front door and is greeted by lovely excited smiles from her beautiful daughter. Jackson is my pride and joy and I love that he is treated like family when staying with Alix at her home rather than it being a boarding environment like at a kennels.

Schedule
I’m currently unemployed so always at home. Monday & friday I do school pick up and drop off, however if your dog isn’t very good with being alone I can bring them along or I can find someone else to take my daughter to school on the odd occasion if need be of the 2 days I usually do and I will stay home to ensure your dog isn’t left alone. As long as i have notice i can ensure we’re home all day if need be for your dogs anxiety

I am in a ground floor flat, I have my own fenced garden and a field nearby which dogs absolutely love to go and have a run around. I keep dogs on lead for safety. Dogs will be welcome to come on the furniture and sleep in the bed unless the owner requests otherwise.
A typical day
Myself & my children will give your dog lots of attention. Plenty of cuddles & lots of running around in the garden. Lots of fun filled play with toys with a very energetic 5 year old! 1-2 walks a day unless requested otherwise around my area and socialising.
