Pet care experience

All pets are welcome!

I've had dogs all my life and am extremely familiar with kennel and potty training! All dogs are blessings- and any extra needs that come with them. As long as there is clear instruction, I can administer medications. Puppies or senior dogs are welcome! My husband and I have taken care of cats, reptiles, and small mammals. Working with pets will always be my main and favorite activity. My partner is Rover certified as well; one of us will always have an eye on the dogs! I am attending college but it is all online! I don’t board pets in my home at the moment! I can provide house sittings, drop ins, or walks. For communications: Rover will give you a phone number to call or text me! For any pets’ sleep schedules, they are welcome to sleep wherever (kennel or in the bed) or whenever- 12AM with me. Dogs are let out for the first time at 6AM and then back to sleep for a few hours! The only time I can’t respond to a text or call is when I’m asleep but I do stay up late and have pet chores early in the morning. Doggy daycare and boarding are at my place; house-sitting is in your home! I would love to have a meet and greet to discuss boundaries and goals; I believe in being tidy and keeping to a schedule with the pets. Feel free to ask me any questions! If there is a struggle with pricing, I am free to discuss it with you as well. New update: I am currently based in Henderson around The Summit at Piecerne. I am opening availabilities for drop-ins, house sittings, and walks here! Please be based out of the same area/complex or I cannot guarantee being able to help.

I love to cuddle and have fun with the pets. I don’t mind working my sleep schedule around them. I have a pretty standard routine for cleaning and pet chores.

We truly appreciate Alexis, knowing we never have to worry about our fur-babies when our family travels. She send us pictures, videos and updates to keep us connected. Our home is always very well taken care of and we just think the world of her. She’s been such a gift to our pups, cat, tortoise, axolotl and us!!

Alexis was great with my cat Daisy. She was consistent everyday and took care of all of Daisy's needs. I will definitely use her services again in the future.

I am not happy to write this poor review.... Alexis has been great with my pets and my home many times in the past. First, let me say that my pets are fine! This was most important. However, my home was not cared for at all, and in fact I feel quite violated with what happened. 1) I have an automatic feeder that has a camera on it so I can see my pets when I'm away. I never use it when any of my cat sitters are at my home, since I always get the alert when the sitter starts their visit. However, I had forgotten that Alexis had started her visit, and so I looked at the camera. I saw her and someone else sitting on the couch. I closed it right away, and I thought, "That's okay I don't mind if she brings someone with her as long as she is doing her job." And didn't think much of it. 2) I had ordered artwork that had arrived in a cardboard container. I think it fell on the floor because when I arrived home it was on the floor, with footprints on it! If I was in someone's home and something had fallen to the floor, I would never just go ahead and step on it! Also, I asked Alexis to please remove her shoes when she entered. 3) There were Del Taco soda cups on my counter, and a few days' worth of fast food garbage in the trash. I guess she and her friend made themselves super comfortable, in a very inappropriate and unprofessional manner. I also found a Truly from my refrigerator in the garbage. Why would someone open my fridge in the first place, much less take something, drink it, and then leave the evidence for me to find in the garbage? 4) They had also watched the Jo Koy comedy special on my Netflix. Netflix tracks what we watch, and I hadn't opened my Netflix while away nor watched that show. I don't know what was happening in my home when she was supposed to play with my cats and care for them and my home. 5) I ultimately feel very disrespected. I spent the evening cleaning my home because I feel that my space was disrespected and violated, and I don't know what else happened in my home. Honestly I had this feeling when my home was robbed in the past, not that things were taken, but that someone would have the bold audacity to be that comfortable and disrespectful and unprofessional in my home. I have canceled future work with Alexis, and I would not recommend hiring her if you want someone to respect your home. Again, I am not happy about having to write this, and she did take good care of my pets which is most important, but I don't want someone else to have to experience disrespect and level of unprofessionalism that I did. I still wish Alexis the best, and I hope this is a learning experience for future work. I hope that I will also regain confidence in Rover. I've been a fan of Rover, and I often recommend this service to other pet parents, but I am now feeling very disappointed, and not sure I can trust Rover or its sitters. I aim to have a positive outlook on all things, and hopefully some type of resolution and/or learning can come from this.

Schedule

I am a data analyst and have side gigs! Most school and some work I can do from my IPad- studying or work. I schedule any gig work around the dogs or find a schedule that fits all of us! I do work an 8-5.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Alexis can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
I would like to know if they are aggressive or very vocal! I do have one cat- please let me know if they have a prey drive. Also: are your pets pullers on walks? I need to know before they pull me to the ground (or at least try!)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
