Trained parent with a playful pup!
I've had dogs my whole life, owned a dog daycare business, worked with many dog trainers and animal rescue organizations, and have volunteered as a trained dog handler for the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. I love caring for all varieties of doggos and especially enjoy taking them on hikes around Durango. I have a playful Bernadoodle who is thrilled to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. We can’t wait to meet your pup!

I am very active and take my 4-year-old Bernadoodle, Narly, on several mile walks or hikes every day. Narly loves to play and is friendly to all dogs regardless of size and breed. We often go to the dog park as well. Dogs are encouraged to hang out with me on all furniture, and we have lots of play time. We also have a small fenced-in yard for easy-access outdoor time. I show the pups lots of love and affection, but can be strict if needed, depending on how you typically parent your own dog.

Alex was an amazing sitter for my dog, Phin! From the start, he was communicative, friendly, and clearly experienced with dogs. Phin can be a bit shy at first, but Alex took the time to make him feel comfortable and cared for. Throughout the stay, Alex provided regular updates with photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing Phin was happy and well taken care of. When I picked him up, he was relaxed and content—always a great sign of a well-spent stay! I highly recommend Alex to anyone looking for a responsible and caring pet sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with him again!!

Alex looked after my dog, Nisles, for a week while I traveled on a bike packing trip through Colorado. When I got in touch with Alex for the first time, he was very kind and warm and asked the right questions about my pup’s routines, habits, likes and dislikes. When I dropped off Nisles, Alex was an immediate comfort and made Nisles feel at home in a new space. Alex sent me daily updates with photos and let me know how each day went for the two of them. When I got to pick up Nisles, he was so happy and immediately showed me his favorite toys at Alex’s house. I’ve used Alex as a caregiver for Nisles ever since. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I have a flexible remote-work schedule and hike with my own dog every day, so I’m available most times throughout the week. I’m happy to work within your schedule.
