Ainla took fabulous care of my pups, including my elder one, while I was at a work meeting in the area. Thank you SO MUCH for your good care. I had no
Worries at all while I was away from them.

The Dog Companion

I am a dog sitter because I grew up with dogs all my life and have always been involved in their well being. I even brought up a bear! His name was Django.
My sweet Labrador Retriever Bella passed away last year in April. She was 13 years old. I now have the most adorable Cocker Spaniel puppy who is almost 11 months old. His name is Caleb.
My dog sitting/care experience: I dog ...

What Ainla would like to know about your dog

I would like to know if the dog has been had it's regular shots. I would like to see proof of vaccination and current tags.
Parent's contact information.
Vet's contact information for emergencies if parents are away on vacation.
I don't have any problems with dogs in general, regarding the breed as long as both dog/s and I are comfortable with each other and with Bella.

When Ainla watches your pet

Walking: We would walk around safe neighborhoods including my neighborhood in Princeton NJ, (without Bella) Bella is going to be 13 years old in June so she is not as active as she was two years ago. She was a very high energy dog. When I took her swimming in Westchester County NY, she and her sister Annie would go in and out of their favorite lake for up to two hours like they were on vacation and I was their Royal Butler!! After that it was a nice warm bath when we reached home. She now prefers to walk at a leisurely pace for shorter distances.

Depending on the size of the dog, I prefer to walk two ( not more) medium size dogs at the same time, or one large dog at a time.
I don't take on more than I can handle and two medium sized dogs at one time is plenty for me.

I do not to take in a " territorial " pooch.
The only un-neutered dogs I host are puppies up to 12.6 months old.

For walking, I use the shorter non retractable leash and I always carry water and a water bowl for them in a back pack with plenty of "poopy" bags.

For smaller dogs, I prefer to use a harness. Sometime in January, 2016. I rescued a little terrier from being run over because its little head slipped off the leash and from it's handler, who was frantic because he was also walking a beautiful Golden Retriever. Fortunately both dogs were super happy and friendly.

The yard: Come nice sunny day or snow - my dog clients can hang out in the yard under my supervision at all times. Since I don't have a fenced in yard, I use and control the retractable leash for my furry friends to hang out and play in my yard or chew on a treat. They love working on their treats in the yard.
Feeding Time: Each dog has it's own dining spot . I watch them like a hawk and make sure that the fast eaters don't dig their noses into the slow eater's bowl. I have no problem with giving them their medication if it is required. I follow feeding instruction as per the parents instructions.
