Hi there! My name is Abby, and animals have always been at the heart of my life. I’ve had the privilege of caring for pets of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra love and attention. I have hands-on experience administering medications to both cats and dogs, whether it’s pills, liquid medicine, or special care routines, and I always make sure it’s done with patience and gentleness. At home, I also share my love for animals with my three-year-old son, who is incredibly calm and gentle with pets. He’s grown up around animals and has developed a natural sense of respect and kindness toward them. Pets often gravitate toward him, and he loves being a little helper when it comes to walks, playtime, or simply offering cuddles and kisses. Whether it’s going for a walk, giving belly rubs, or making sure special medical needs are met, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your furry family members are happy, loved, and well-cared for while you’re away!

I work full time as a 911 dispatcher for Johnson County and am currently working the night shift, 7pm-7am, 3 days one week and 4 days the following week on rotation. That being said, I have to sleep at some point so I generally prefer bookings from 7am-9am or late afternoon.
Where your pet will stay

I’m very mindful and professional in my clients home. I formerly worked as a housekeeper and was regularly trusted w/ keys and entry codes to residences. Now that I’m a 911 dispatcher, you can have the added security that I passed an extensive Sheriffs Office background check in order to be employed by county government.
Pets
A typical day
When I care for pets, I love making sure they’re happy, active, and comfortable. For dogs, that might mean daily walks, a fun game of fetch, or enrichment activities like puzzle toys and treat hide-and-seek. I also enjoy practicing basic training skills and, of course, giving plenty of cuddle and relaxation time—especially for senior pups who appreciate a calmer pace. With cats, I focus on interactive play with feather wands or laser toys, cozy window-watching spots, puzzle feeders, and gentle brushing or lap time for extra affection. My three-year-old son often joins in as a calm and gentle helper, whether it’s tossing a ball, softly petting, or sitting nearby to keep pets company
