Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Abby, thank you for clicking on my profile! I have owned multiple dogs at once for the last 13 years. I have professional work experience as a pet care specialist, dog handler and dog caretaker. I have experience with cats, fish, amphibians, rodents, reptiles and dogs of all sizes and ages (including strays/rescues). I am pet first aid certified (level 1+2) by the Ottawa Humane Society. I also have experience with senior dog care and insulin administration. From November 2022 to April 2023, I volunteered at an animal rescue in Uganda, where I gained experience with nursing newborn kittens/puppies and socializing stray dogs and cats. I have assisted in cat and dog birth and I can also train puppies! I love all animals and I am very excited to take care of your baby like it is my own :)

I would 100% recommend Abby, and will ABSOLUTELY be hiring her again. Abby was FANTASTIC!!! From start to finish, she was great at communicating, both about logistics (setting up a meet and greet, returning my keys, etc.), and about caring for my cat. As soon as she walked in, I felt completely at ease and safe leaving my pet under her care. She was very flexible and took great care of my cat, and sent me pictures and updates every day over the Christmas holidays. Thanks Abby!!

I would like to know how your dog reacts on a leash regarding leash walking behaviour and reactiveness towards other dogs so I can plan! No behaviour will be an issue for me. I also need your pets veterinary information, list of known allergies and emergency contact phone numbers!
A typical day
I love using the cardinal creek trails! They are very long and lead to ponds, with many paths and open fields. The perfect mix of sun and shade!
