A walk a day keeps the vet away
I have 2 Yorkshire Terriers, Dash who is 10 and Chevy who is 6 months. Dash has diabetes and requires insulin as well as oral medication and I am comfortable giving both. I also frequently take care of a friend’s senior Goldendoodle. I’ve house sat for up to a month at a time before which I am okay doing. I have more experience with dogs but I’d love to take care of your cats as well!

If your pet comes to my home I do have a fully fenced front and back lawn. As well as a great neighborhood for going on walks. My house isn’t huge but I do keep my space clean and always make sure the pets aren’t able to get into anything.

We appreciated the effort you put into keeping our home clean and tidy, and we came back to a happy and healthy dog, which is ultimately the most important thing. However, we did experience some concerns with communication during your stay. When we booked, we were under the impression that you would only be gone for a maximum of 4 hours at a time, but we later learned you were away for 7–9 hours most days for another job. While our dog can handle that time alone, it was not communicated to us upfront, which caught us off guard. Additionally, on the final day of sitting, there was confusion regarding your availability, and we weren’t informed that you had asked our neighbors to step in until after you had already left. We value clear communication, especially when it comes to our dog’s care, so we hope this feedback helps improve future experiences. Thank you for taking good care of Maui while we were away!

Abbie did an amazing job dog/house sitting for us! Our dog is nervous around strangers and she quickly bonded with Abbie. We got pictures and updates throughout our trip, which put our mind at ease and helped us have a relaxing time away. We came home to a very happy dog and a house that looked better than we left it. Abbie is responsible, communicative, and she clearly loved our dog like her own. We can’t wait to have Abbie back to watch Luna!

Schedule
I am currently finishing my last few pre-requisites for nursing school and most of my classes are online so I’m at home/available often. I do take care of my puppy when I’m home but I live with my family who takes care of him as well. I’d love to fit your pets into my schedule!
