Cara and her family had me completely at ease from our meet & greet through my dog’s stay. Cara shared photos every day and included notes - allowed me to remain confident in Fiona’s care. Cara is very responsive and excellent with communicating.

Christina and Jason say that 'while your dog is with us, your dog is our dog', and they really mean it. They truly understand and love dogs. There is absolutely nothing else I could want in a pet sitter. I am so grateful to have found them. My dog is pretty darn happy about it too.

This was our first time using Deidre and it was a 2 week stay. We couldn’t have been happier! She was great with our dog and sent many pictures and videos so we could see that our Abbey was being very well taken care of. Deidre is very kind and calm and we knew after meeting her that she would take great care of Abbey. We definitely will use her services again!

Chase seemed to like being there. Sent pictures and kept me in the loop I’m not sure if Chase misbehaved with other dogs. I’d be curious to know.

Sam and her family are great! My girl is a snuggler who does best if not left alone a lot and they delivered. It's the best of both worlds: experienced dog handler meets doggie daycare meets lots of individual attention and all the snuggles. She was flexible, easy to work with, and great with my beagle!

Gwynn is amazing. She paid attention to exactly the attention (exercise, etc.) that Martie needed and even sent us pictures of their adventures. Martie was exhausted when we got home!

Emily took great care of our two older dogs. After our initial meet and greet we felt comfortable leaving our girls in her care. We loved the daily updates and many pictures she sent and they came back to us happy and relaxed. We would definitely book Emily again in the future.

Nancy and her son took great care of Bruce when he came to stay with them. Bruce had such a great time as was obvious in the photos we received and how comfortable he was when we came to pick him up. After an initial confusion at drop off, Nancy quickly clarified and reassured me of the plans and following that Bruce just had the best time.

About: Hi my name is Sean. I recently graduated from RIT with a BFA in illustration. I love all animals and currently have a lot of flexibility to care for your pets while I am working from home. I grew up with two labradoodles and I have also cared for friends' animals while they have been away. One of my dogs has Addison's disease, so I am familiar with giving medication to pets. Spending time with animals brings me joy and does not seem like work - I enjoy playing with your animals, going on walks and I give a great belly rub! I am extremely responsible and will love your animals like my own...you might also find some sketches of your pet when you return home. I am an artist that is currently working from home in Quechee. I am extremely flexible and am available during the week and on weekends. I make my own hours so can work around your schedule. I live with my parents and two friendly labradoodles ages 8 and 12. I could board a dog in my home if he/she gets along well with other dogs and is house-trained. I prefer to care for your animals in your own home: I can do drop-in visits, walks and daytime or overnight house-sitting.

Our pups recently had their second overnight with Meredith. She provides very honest feedback about their stays- the fact is, our pups would rather be with us than away from us. But we know they are safe and well cared for with Meredith. She is kind and consistent with them and we know they will settle in over time. We are very happy to have Meredith care for our dogs.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats ranging from under one year to 14 years of age. I have administered medication for dogs and cats (orally and via shot). I have provided care for extremely social dogs and anxious pups—I am confident in my ability to provide connection and care.I have also taken care of chickens and am comfortable doing so. I have been living with a golden retriever puppy for the last two years so I’m eager to spend time with some pups of kittens! I am a middle school teacher on summer break. My schedule for July is empty!!! I need work in July before going back to school. Trying to save up to get my own pup… I am unfortunately not available to host dogs at my house since I am living with my parents. I am 24 years old and that’s a bit too much of an ask. Thank you for understanding.

Willow loved her time with Miss Chantelle! The booking was very easy to coordinate (especially because it was a bit last minute) and Chantelle is very responsive. She kept me updated with messages and videos while Willow was in her care. I will 100% be using Chantelle again and referring her to my pet parent friends!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 67 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Killington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

100% of Killington sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Killington landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Killington home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Killington.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Killington sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in VT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
