About: Hi! Wags and Wuffs is a premium dog boarding hotel and daycare that puts your dog’s happiness and comfort first. As a lifelong animal lover and certified pet care professional, I’ve built Wags and Wuffs to be a true home away from home for dogs. Unlike traditional kenneling, we focus on providing a calm, cosy and enriching environment. Here, dogs enjoy plenty of playtime, social interaction, tailored routines and lots of love and attention — just like they would at home. We’re fully insured, canine first aid trained and dedicated to each dog’s individual needs, whether that means special diets, medication or extra cuddles. Our facility is designed for dogs to relax and feel safe, with comfortable sleeping areas, secure outdoor spaces and supervised group activities to keep them stimulated and happy.

“Ana Caroline was amazing. She took great care of our dog and truly treated her as her own. We got regular updates and photos while we were away which was very reassuring. Our puppy is high energy and was happy and stimulated during her time, we even got her back tired! Would definitely recommend her and hope we get use her again to take care of our pup!”
“I'm so happy I left Rocky with Kimberley and her partner. They're really nice and always updated us,send us messages and photos every day. Rocky had the best time with them and her dogs. My holidays were more relaxed.”

About: I have had dogs since I was in my teens. I got them as pups and kept them through adulthood. My most recent dog, Toby, sadly passed away in September 2026. I have experience with cross breeds (golden retriever cross, GSD x Collie) St. Bernards, terriers. I have experience with my friends reactive dog also. I am a stay at home parent, my children are in school / playschool so I have plenty of time to give you dog a big walk, play time and cuddles. I have no outdoor kennels, as animals sleep in the house here. I can crate your dog if required. I am happy to do as is done at home, as this is what will make your dog most comfortable. I live rurally, so we have plenty of space and also an enclosed outdoor area, I plan to only have one dog / family in my home at a time as I want your pet to have all the love and attention that they deserve. I have 3 children who were born since I adopted Toby, so they have grown up with him and are well used to animals in the home. I also have a cat Mittens who is coming up on a year, he is my eldest's cat and responsibility. He is a much loved part of the family and misses his friend Toby too! In home, animals are allowed on the couch, in the bed, around the rooms. As I live rurally there is livestock in surrounding fields, so if this is something that may affect your dog, maybe my home would not be suitable. I also have hens who free range during the day, so this is also something to take into consideration. The hens are well used to our other animals and will stay away. Your pet will also never be left in a situation where they have access to the hens, but they hens may be visible in the garden.
“ "Holly had a fantastic stay! The family are genuine dog lovers with lots of space for her to play and relax, which really put my mind at ease. I received regular updates and photos, which was so reassuring. I'm so happy to have found such a caring and reliable family for Holly to stay with, I’ll definitely be booking again!" ”
“Gerard could not have been easier to deal with - great communication, took time to get the know the dogs while I was still there, brought them on walks and generally made them feel important. We will use him again. ”

On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the pri ce s hown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in Sligo ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Some boarding sitters stay with the dogs in their care for most of the day, while others may step out for work, errands or other commitments. Each sitter’s schedule and the amount of time your dog may be left alone will vary, so it is important to agree expectations before the stay begins.
Before booking, tell the sitter how long your dog can comfortably be left alone and confirm their typical schedule during the stay. Adding the maximum number of hours your dog can be left alone to their profile can also help sitters decide whether they are the right match.
Boarding does not automatically include round-the-clock supervision. If your dog needs someone present at all times, ask whether the sitter offers constant care or 24/7 care. This may require a separate arrangement and may not be included in the sitter’s standard boarding rate.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
