asked a question | stolen days? I had a client who dropped her dog a day earlier unexpectedly, I agreed to accommodate her and didn't charge her an extra day. The day she was scheduled to pick her dog up, she never showed, I texted her at 7p and she said she couldn't come until the next day at 8am. She offered to pay for the extra day, she didn't and she wasn't apologetic when she picked her dog up. I try to be flexible with my families but I feel like she took advantage and I lost money for the two days she didn't pay for. In the future, Can we extend the stay ourselves or do the pet parents had to do it? |
answered a question | How safe is Craigslist? Anyone have a bad experience? The only thing I don't like about craigslist is getting random, booking request at 2am that are clearly not legitimate. Im unsure why people would take the time and create a fake profile and send a request. Very strange to me. |
commented answer | what happens if a dog dies in your care of natural causes? Thanks, I may decide not to host senior pups, and getting certified in pet first aid is a great idea |
commented answer | what happens if a dog dies in your care of natural causes? Thanks so much for your response, he was super sweet and very easy to care for, but moving was hard for him, he apparently had a mild stroke at one time. I will definitely rethink elder care, or include the question you have posed as well |

asked a question | what happens if a dog dies in your care of natural causes? Just curious if anyone has experienced this with a senior pet and knows if there is another process other than contacting rover and the pet parent. This has not happened but we kept a really old dog, and we were super worried the whole stay until his parent came back. We were aware of his age and condition, prior to agreeing to keep him, but it was a thought in the back of our minds the whole stay. |

asked a question | extended stay Does anyone know how to adjust the rates? we give a discount to owners after the 7th day, but the owners think its for stays longer than 7 day. So we have been missing out on the extra funds. because of the way rover has it, it appears that we give a discount for all 7 days..the discount should start on the 8th day and going forward if that make sense im trying to figure the best way to make adjustment with out alienating our clients Thanks |

asked a question | rover pricing I have a client that is on her 3rd booking with us. I offer a discount for the second dog in my pricing and for stays over 7 days, when she was attempting to book with us. it is charging her full price for both dogs and not giving her the discount for 7 days, Ive tried calling rover directly, but have been unable to get thru. Does anyone have any suggestions Thanks |
