Can clients choose not to review?

I've completed my job for a client about a week ago, but I still don't see a review from them. Is there a way to go about asking for one or is it possible I'm just not seeing it?

Yes, you can ask for a review, but don't give up on getting one yet, it's still early. My first client waited for 3 weeks before giving me a review, I had given up on her doing it & didn't want to ask. When she did give the review it was a very nice one. I think some people just get home & back to work or whatever & forget. It's my understanding that Rover sends 3 reminder requests for reviews, or least that's what someone said on the forum.

Perhaps someone else has better info about it, but this has been my experience.

Rover does send multiple review reminders. You can also send them a message and ask if they wouldn't mind leaving you a positive review. If you go that route, I would ask if they have feedback for you or if there is any way you could have improved your services for the future. I have been very fortunate with reviews - I think all but one of my customers have left a 5-star review. (I don't ask for repeat clients to leave reviews). I think this is because, in addition to lots of pictures and updates and generally a great stay, I send them home with a goodie bag. If you're interested in trying this, there have been a lot of Rover posts on what to include in goodie bags. Check out these Rover posts:
