What if we have to cancel?

We have an upcoming weekend scheduled and my daughter may not be able to join us. If she stays home I would want our dog to stay with her for company not to mention it is silly to pay for a sitter if she is home. How does a cancelation work?

Each sitter selects their cancellation policy when they set up their account, from strict to flexible. It would be in your best interest to look for sitters with a flexible or moderate cancellation policy. Regardless of who you contact, be sure to explain your situation, as this will help the sitter immensely, and while some sitters may be wary of accepting a booking knowing it may fall through, a lot of sitters out there will be very helpful and accommodating.

Flexible

A full refund is available if you cancel before the beginning of the stay. If cancelled on or after the beginning of the the stay, a 50% refund is available for the first seven days of the stay, and a 100% refund is available for any additional days.

Moderate

A full refund is available is you cancel by 12:00 pm the day before the stay begins. 12:00 pm is determined by the sitter's time zone. If cancelled later than 12:00pm the day before the stay begins, a 50%refund is available for the first seven days of the stay, and a 100% refund is available for any additional days.

Strict

A full refund is available if you cancel by 12:00 pm one week before the stay begins. 12:00pm is determined by the sitter's time zone. If cancelled later than 12:00 pm on week before the stay begins, a 50% refund is available for the first seven days of the stay and a 100% refund is available for any additional days.

If you do need to cancel, you will have to contact Rover support at 888-453-7889.
