Can you work part time at another job other than dog sitting, while working for Rover?

I work 32 hours a week elsewhere, and was planning to come back to give the dogs a potty break during lunch. Are there other sitters who hold other jobs? Thank you in advance.

Yes, But you may get less clients due to being busy during the certain days and hours that you are working the pat time job.

Hi, Yes, some sitters do have other jobs. I'd suggest that you communicate this clearly during meet & greets so the pet-parent can help determine if that would work for their pet , and you might want to mention your availability in your profile to help with generating matches. Laura provided a really thorough answer in this thread. https://www.rover.com/community/quest...

I am self employed part time. I garden, come home at lunch, back by 3 and off weekends so Rover is perfect for my schedule. I do get requests for daycare and I refer them to doggie daycare buisnesses. I'm only interested in vacation stays of 2 to 10 days.

I work full time. I always communicate this to the owner before meet and greets so that if it's an issue I don't waste their time. I let them know that I can take care of their dog before I go to work, and as soon as I get home. Most dog owners also have full time jobs, so their dogs are used to that schedule, but it is different for everyone. I still book plenty of stays even though I work full time.

I work part time as well as being a Rover sitter. Not all of us have the luxury of not having to worry about bills. Between my wife and I, we take the dogs out every 2 hours. I highly recommend you communicate whatever situation you are in to the potential client. Being honest ALWAYS pays off in the long run.
