What if you sitter doesn't show up?

I'm feeling bad about the sitter we hired for 3 nights for our 3 dogs. She was over an hour late for our first meet-and-greet appointment. Today we were to meet to go over everything before we leave at 5:00am tomorrow morning. I'm concerned she won't show up or will be late. What are my options?

Look at the profiles in your area. Make a note of who you would like to care for your pets in the event that the sitter is unable for whatever reason. Tomorrow if she does not show up as agreed to, contact rover (Call [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] & they can help over the phone). Let them know you need them to transfer the booking to another sitter. They will help reach out to sitters or if time permits you can do so. If the sitter you selected fails to show up and they have to transfer to another sitter, in the past they have covered the extra cost if the replacement sitter selected has higher rate than the sitter you chose originally.

If more time existed before you left, I would have suggested to contact another sitter who would be your second choice to confirm their availability. I’ve known people who alternated bookings between two sitters and built relationships with both of them, which provides more flexibility.
