Owner didn't include pet is on medication under Care Profile?

Hi there, First time Rover here, only working with cats. When I set up my profile, I put that I don't administer medications. I got a request, reviewed the pet info, saw that no medications were listed, and accepted the job. The owner messaged me on the AM of the first PM visit with a list of medications that need to be administered. How was the person able to book me when I specifically selected that I don't administer medications? How can I avoid this in the future? I'm going to do my best with giving the meds, but am already feeling flummoxed that my very first job is going to be stressful for me. I was really hoping to ease into this to get the feel of using Rover before having to worry about pilling a cat.

This is why you need to have a M&G with clients before accepting any jobs. So that you can go over their care requirements.

Unfortunately, there is no way to block getting such requests and you can't assume a pet owner has read your profile or completed the one for his/her pet accurately or completely. Therefore, you need to ask questions, especially those that may be deal breakers. For me, their pet's potty training is a deal breaker. I have received requests for pets listed as being house broken but their interpretation is different from mine.

Perhaps after this job, you'll feel more confident about administering meds and it won't be an issue in the future. But if is, then you need to ask each client very specifically whether their pet needs such care.
