Is there a way to get Rover to stop sending requests outside your preferences?

I expect the answer is no, but thought I would ask. I just got back on Rover after being off for over 2 years for obvious reasons. I don't remember this being a huge issue before. I clearly state in my profile (which like maybe 50% of people read :( ) that I need 1-2 weeks advance notice at least of bookings with new clients. This is my supplementary income so I like to plan and make sure I am comfortable with the dogs, am a good fit, etc. Just today I have gotten three requests for do sitting within the next 2 days. Ugggg

It's annoying because I have to try and be polite to the owners and explain my policy. I am also dreading the new payment system for my upcoming booking. I really like paypal and are bummed they changed it. This app has been good to me in the past so I really hope I will keep using it, but we shall see.

There is actually a new preference setting for how much advance notice you require before a booking. Go to your Profile and select the service,

https://www.rover.com/provider-profile/

There you will see in the Availability group a drop-down menu for the advance time you require. No guarantees though that you won't still get requests but you shouldn't show up as available when a potential customer searches for a sitter for a specific date that is too close.

As for using Stripe, it worked perfectly for me. No delays. I had the money in my bank account in exactly the same amount of time I would have with Paypal but didn't have to initiate any withdrawals, first from Rover to Paypal and then Paypal to my bank. Two less steps. So I wouldn't be all that concerned.

Thanks Karen. That's good to know about Stripe. I actually did see that and have it set in my profile. I guess people just ignore that or think I'm going to change my mind? Hopefully it happens less once summer passes.
