What is boarding hours for pick up and drop off?

everyone,

I m new to this program and I am wondering what is drop off and pick up time for boarding? Sorry if it sounds dumb. I thought the boarding fee is charged per night then how about the daytime charge if the boarding sessions are more than one days?

Thanks

It’s not a dumb question. Rover broadly defines boarding as up to 24 hours of service. Each sitter makes their own arrangements with each client, so there really isn’t much consistency among agreements with regards to fixed check in / check out times, or hours that the rates apply to. For the best possible outcome I’d suggest discussing it with prospective client prior to booking (even if you detail it in written form). Some sitters charge à la cart the way you’re thinking. Others consider boarding all inclusive and that rate will be honored to cover up to each 24 hour period. I believe all inclusive is what most clients expect when searching for a sitter.

Hi, thank you for your response. I just want to make sure that the boarding hours is not the same as day sitting which is around 8 hours. It is because I see some pet sitters posted boarding rate same as day sitting rate or just $10 more .

Yes, some of the posted rates are shockingly low, esp. for boarding and house sitting. I’ve frequently seen where boarding rates are about $10 more than daycare too. However, rates needs to be competitive, w/ consideration to both local market and what level of services are offered.
