getting paid on rover ? Holidaypay?

Hi, brand new to Rover. Just got my first booking. Spoke on the phone. Meet and greet is Friday -- 12 morning walks.

  1. How do we actually get paid?

Also, for holiday rate, is that only the actual holiday? So if you book Tday week, only the Thurs is a "holiday rate"?

Do people typically charge more for puppies? I see that as an option. Curious what others do.

Thanks for any tips you can provide. I tried to click on the Rover 101--but I got an error, so I am muddling through.

It's been a long time since I took Rover 101, but as I recall it doesn't really cover those kinds of things. The Help section does provide answers to most of what you've posted about. Here are a couple of links:

As you'll read, you get paid holiday rates for more than just the actual day of the holiday. It is like peak seasons in the travel industry. That link shows the time period for each holiday, as it is going to differ.

I don't accept puppies, but many sitters do charge more because they are more work.

I've look at your rate table and see a couple of strange things and one is the puppy rate under house sitting. It is less than for an adult dog. That number is not added to your regular rate. You must enter the total amount you charge for sitting a puppy. So I would fix it before someone jumps on it and books you for a bargain basement rate.

Under Drop-ins, you have a rate for bookings of 1 day or more being $40 per visit when you only charge $22 normally. That really makes no sense.

For Walks, you charge $22 for a half hour walk, but a 30-minute walk is free. Huh?
