How to get paid for a daycare cancellation?

I have a dog owner who booked daycare a several days ago. One hour before the stay was supposed she cancelled. If it was a boarding situation, the normal cancellation policy would apply (or the owner may not even bother to cancel) so I would still get paid for being available.

However, since it is a daycare, I have to send a Rover Card to get paid. Sending a Rover Card for a dog that didn't arrive seems very weird.

Doggie Day Care has a same-day cancellation policy and the money should be refunded unless the client canceled and told you to keep the money, then you need to start and end the rover card

Thanks. I didn't know that. It's never come up. Does it say that anywhere? Can I change this preference? If I make myself available for 12 hours to actively sit a dog, it's the same commitment as boarding in my view.

You can't change the cancellation policy for daycare; it is same day. I've included the relevant links below.

Note: You might notice you're not able to select a policy for dog walking or day care. This is because dog walking and day care services are always set to a same-day cancellation policy.
